Shiny!! The question of all the cast members reprising their roles was brought up, and I always believed that given the chance at doing Firefly again, they'd all come back in a heartbeat. glad I'm not the only one who thinks so XD very cool.

Not often that so many cast members of canceled TV shows are interested in returning if the show was renewed. Most just move on and pretty much chalk it up to experience. Nice to know that it's not just us die-hard fans that want it back.

Even though she's becoming a big name via TSCC, Summer makes it clear she'll always have a special place for our show, the cast & the crew. Onya Summer !!!

A couple of days later Alan once more voices his support for Serenity 2. Six months ago he said much the same thing. If the best damn pilot in the 'verse says this is where we're going, then that's good enough for me.

Our BDH haven't given up, neither can we. We put our mind to it, there's no power in the 'verse can stop us.

So can anyone tell me the actual time-line between the Terminator movies and the Sarah Connor Chronicles? Because I had heard that it completely disregards Terminator 3.
Can't wait til TSCC starts up here in Australia (very soon now!)- I'll be watching it like it's going out of fashion!

It does; it starts out in the past (pre-Apocalypse), with a teenaged John Connor and his mom, then flashes forward to the present day (bypassing the Apocalypse).

Summer's character, Cameron, is (predictably) the one who changes history. Appears she got there just in the nick of time. What does that make her?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

It's what I've been saying since the beginning: "It ain't over". When Joss shows up at my door and says pack it in, I will. Not before.

Honestly.. if I were ABC or NBC or one of those- facing ever dwindling content for my channel... I would look up something like Firefly- stron fan base, not seen by many others, so it would seem new to the unitiated- wouldn't cost much,,, I would run it... and then watch the fan base explode!!

sigh... if ONLY I ran a network!

I think it bypasses Sarah Connor dying of cancer. It happens before T3. Now in 2007, Doctors have detected no cancer yet. And now Sarah knows to try and prevent cancer. But she could still die of cancer.

The Apocalypse is still in the future and is actually a moving target. T1 moved the date forward. T2 did also. Sarah Connor Chronicles may have moved the date again or not by burning up that house with an AI that was acting funny.

SPOILER ALERT FOR T3...

T3 is a computer becoming self-aware and taking over the internet and then the military opening Skynet for infection.

T3 could still happen exactly like it did.

Or not. Remember Captain Janeway totally screwed up the timeline...so anything can happen.

Well Dammit!

This is re-inviggorating. Perhaps its time to remind Fox that they have the best show ever tucked away and given another chance might be profitable for them.

Someone organise a "NUTS" style campaign

I'd willingly spend some dollars..

P.S. and here I posted a while back that I dont think there is any chance of ever seeing Firefly revived.. I just can't help the wanting.

Trying not to give spoilers here for TTSCC. Each foray back in time changes the exisiting timeline - this is common among all time travel experiments, and part of the reason it's so fun and intruiging.
T2 changes the timeline established in Terminator. T3 changes the timeline established in T2. TTSCC takes the timelines from Terminator and T2 (which do not yet succumb to the Skynet ascension), and bypass the T3 timeline (which does result in Skynet dominating over humans).
TTSCC really does a wonderful job on this front, and I really hate to give it away since you haven't seen it yet.
But yes, it does all mesh. The rest of the timelines are not ignored. Don't know about T4, though.

The only controversial part is whether Cameron should know about all of the other timelines. Once T2 changed the timeline, all events following the old timeline should not be known to future generations - that existence no longer exists.
When Cameraon is sent back. she should know about the timeline exisiting after T3, but not what would have happened if T2 or T3 had not occurred, because that would not be history in the future she comes from, and she would have no access to that - unless explained in more clear detail (it's not impossible, just not in the storyline so far).

In Terminator, the current and future are intertwined because John Connor sends back his friend Kyle, who becomes his dad, which he knew about but did not tell Kyle about.
In T3, John and Kate Brewster are integral to the domination of Skynet - whichout their actions, Kate's dad would not have given control of the defense net to Skynet.
TTSCC removes John from this scenario which creates the Skynet coup.
T3 is not ignored. It is the only story stating Sarah dies from cancer. This is the history of the people in the future that Cameron comes from, so this is their reality - and she shares this info from T3 with John and Sarah. But the future human resistance has again figured out how to outsmart the previous timeline, that of T3.

My brain hurts....

I click on anything that has "Summer Glau" in the title. But I've been watching Terminator, and I have to say I really enjoy the show, especially when I'm able to ignore the cheesy lines :P. Summer is an awesome Terminator.

If you're not being sarcastic, you can see it more clearly by just folowing throught it.

The first is the most interwoven, becoming almost self-prophsizing. Without Terminator going back in time to kill Sarah, th resistance would not have sent back Kyle, thus John would not be fathered. As it is, John Connor (J.C.) is considered born of the virgin mother because as far as everybody else is concerned, Kyle does not exist (never on police camera, either).

So, start with Kyle coming back in time to father John. Then the Ter,minator is stopped. Apocolypse will still occcur.
That timeline follows through to the new future, created by the effects of the 1st movie. Then the robots send back another Terminator to kill John as a kid, and the resistance sends back a T100 model as protector. Now follow all those events into the future, based upon T2 (the first set of time events from the first movie, but after T2 have now changed to the T2 version of events).
Now, in the future after T2, the robots again send back an Terminator to kill John in our time, and Kate sends back a T100 protector, and yet apocolypse still occurs. Now follow into the future the events following T3.
Then the people of the future (of T3) want to bypass the skynet ascension in hopes of dissolving that timeline, which allows our current world to exist (in case you haven't noticed, we are not currently amidst an apocolypse).

Nitpick: "Uncle Bob" was a T-805 (the "original" Ah-nold Terminator was a T-800, the +5 is for the resistance's modifications).

Indeed. There is no week without hoping for the Serenity
to rise again.

There is no evening in a pub, when there is not at
least one situation, were quote from Firefly can
be thrown in. :-)

And there is no month without at least one friend
who says:"Oh my god, you really know it by heart.",
hoping for another season, just to not always hear
the same quotes in another new context. ;-)
