Just great.

Well, at least I can get by watching new episodes of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Rome. They're bound to begin sooner or later. Right?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I've watched every episode of Jericho as they originally aired, although there were a couple of times during the first season when I almost stopped. But unlike several other shows during the same period, I did not save any to tape or disc, deleting them off my dvr afterwards, nor did I have any desire to buy the dvds. It did pick up in the second half and ended on a strong note, but the second season has been spotty at best. I think CBS gave it a chance but there just weren't enough viewers to justify continuing. The question is, which of the two filmed finales will they run on Tuesday?

STRANGEBIRD

This is sad.

Just goes to show that the effort to bring a show back doesn't always translate into good ratings. Further evidence that the current ratings system is pure garbage.

I never really liked Jericho. It was a good show but I was never able to get into it. I was thrilled when this show got a second chance though. Second chances are what we Browncoats live for. It's what we stand for in my opinion.

Sorry to all you fans out there that stayed true and actually watched the second season. I just hope Jericho does the impossible and receives the completely unheard of third chance.... very doubtful though, sad to say. Nothing seems to nail the coffin shut faster than a second failure. In the eyes of the execs and sponsors anyway.

Damn shame.

Yeah, poor blighters (Nominal Jericho fan here). I don't think this bodes well for us though, either.

At least the Avatar: The Last Air Bender is still on TV.

Set in an Asian-influenced world, the series follows the adventures of the latest of a long line of Avatars. Aang, and his friends in a quest to save the world from the ruthless Fire Nation.

Avatar: The Last Airbender takes place in a fantasy world, home to humans, fantastic animals, and supernatural spirits. Human civilization is divided into four nations, the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Air Nomads, and the Fire Nation. Within each nation, an order of men and women called "Benders" have the ability to manipulate their native element. These Bending arts combine a certain style of martial arts and elemental mysticism. The Bending types are Waterbending, Earthbending, Firebending, and Airbending.

In each generation, one person is capable of Bending all four elements; this is the Avatar, the spirit of the planet manifested in human form.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I hate CBS. No really. I rank them right up there with Fox. Sure they gave it another chance, but only after a very creative and energetic campaign by fans. There was a eight month break between the two seasons which didn't help the cause, and then to add even another hurdle CBS puts it into a 10pm eastern slot on a weekday. I don't watch CBS myself other than Jericho, but other Rangers said that CBS's marketing for Jericho was near non-existant.

We'll work to get Sci Fi or another network to try to pick up Jericho. Hopefully Sci Fi will get it. They are airing episodes from Season 1 now, and have already optioned season 2. Jericho on it's worst night got more than double the ratings of Stagate Atlantis so it would pull in a good number of viewers to Sci Fi.

Jericho fans called themselves Rangers? That's neat. Good luck to ya'll then; getting it on Sci-Fi.

Yep, based on the fact that the Jericho people formed a militia like group for protection they called the "Rangers".

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm sure we'll need it.

I know; I'm a fan as well. Just not as big a fan of it as I am of Firefly. I'll admit I was a little nervous about how this season was going to turn out (the thing that drove it was basically over-I thought) and I'm glad to say I was surprised; though I do think the last episode was a bit biased against Beck and his POV. I also think they should have tried to look at what he's doing from the point of his oath as an officer, I think that would probably galvanize anyone against the Cheyenne government.

That's just my opinion anyway.
