FIREFLY1983

I pride myself on knowing when something is good. It is how I live my life. I, however, didn't get the chance to become a Firefly fan until this year. I live in NZ and so the show never came here. I found it by accident thanks to checking out the features on the Serenity DVD. I looked high and low for firefly at a price that I could afford ( I am a poor student after all) and just yesterday found it for $30 instead of the $80 price that I had been finding it for! I also found this incredible boxed collectors edition of Serenity. Yes, the small scifi nerd in me is happy.

I may be new to the world of those that love this show and movie but I know that it holds a special place to those that know of the magic that not only Joss but all the cast and crew weave. I am saddened to know that it will never be on TV but glad that I can get my hit from my DVD's and these websites.

As I am new to this, I want to offer a thanks to all those that fought hard to get Firefly to become Serenity. You gave me a gift that I never would have discovered alone in the first place.

Thank you all

Let me join the growing chorus in welcoming you to the 'Verse, Firefly1983!

You have just joined a HUGE, global family of folks who love what you do. We're all Browncoats together (despite a few purplebellies what turn up on rare occasions), so wear your new status proudly. Get a Firefly tee-shirt or hat, and even in NZ, you're bound to meet family you never knew you had, walking down the street, in a shop, usually when you'd least expect it.

Stay shiny!

Welcome home, ff83. You're #33748 to sign on
aboard our shiny ship, and you'll discover
there are other Kiwis here.

Please partake of our Mudder's Milk and fresh
strawberries which are always laid out as a
greeting to the new ones aboard.

Fix your sig, stash your stuff, and join us
topside in the galley for the questioning of
the buffet. Brought in fresh mangos today, the
cheese is hot, and there are stacks and stacks
of ice-planets in the cooler.

Please do not step on ShipsCat or into her dish.

Share the Firefly love whenever, wherever!

Where are you studying? I'm in Napier. And where did you find firefly for only $30? I may need to buy another copy.

FMF, we could throw a party for Malcolm
Reynolds' birthday, maybe.
I'll bring the llamas and the fumarole.

And we need a clean thread to hold it in,
