A few hours from now, actors and crew will be stirring in their beds and peeking at the clock and out into the pre-dawn of Los Angeles. Cars from all over the county will head for frikkin' Universal Studios soundstages where they will put the first scenes in the record.

But first, Chris Buchanan will introduce the staff to the awesome welcome banner funded, designed and built by Browncoats.

A toast to all!

ETA: Another (very connected) poster on the OB said Chris won't unveil the banner until the *entire* cast are on set, which is next week, but I think Monday.

The first thought I had when I woke up @ 5:30 this morning was "The BDM starts filming today!" I will be thinking about our favorite cast, crew, and writer/director throughout the day. I will send them all the positive energy I can today in hopes that it adds to the magic they will be making.

to all of the cast, crew, Joss, Chris, and all the others that are making this great project a reality. I would also like to offer up a toast to all of the Browncoats. If not for your loyalty, tenacity, and drive things would not be in motion and the world would be a darker place indeed.

There is a special place in hell for child molesters and the people at Fox who cancelled Firefly in the first place. And for what? "Little people" vs. Elephants pulling 747s. Thanks a lot a-holes! Whew. Got that outta my system. "Firefly" was the best show on TV, ever,Period. Even my wife likes it and she hates sci-fi. I just found out about "Serenity" today. WHoo hoo. joy of joys. Well I was on vacation in cali. end of April beginning of may. On one of the days we spent at Universal studios. While taking the tour, the first sound stage we passed was #12. The announcer lady said this is where they are filming SERENITY and I don't remember much else after that. It was a good day.

Odd, and today I just happened to be watching "The Message" again, which I understand was the last episode actually filmed (if not the last in story sequence). Maybe some sort of psychic vibe.

Somebody up-thread asked if the crew and cast would have been on-set by 8AM or so. I expect that they probably were, and in makeup and costume long before that-- and, filming being the laborius process it is, it is possible (although I hope not, for their sakes) that cast and crew are still at it as of now, 10:06 PM Pacific time. Everybody send 'em positive warm fuzzy vibrations to sustain 'em.

I'm sorry to admit I had to be reminded that shooting started today-- but it was good to be reminded at the end of a day that, personally, will not be remembered fondly. A gorram shiny note to go to bed on.
