New Firefly. Would this do??

Keeping order in every verse

What if we could rerun the existing 14 eps, and then have 8 brand new eps that finish off the series.Maybe they could be based on the serenity comics. Have the same cast back and have a documentary show explaining the difference in age continuity and the cult status of the show.

Thus....stage 1,extensive tv promos.
stage 2,show documentary,interviews,expose,and launch.
stage 3, 14 ep reruns.
stage 4, 8 brand new eps.
stage 5, Serenity screening.
stage 6, new series,storyline etc.

up to stage 5 would satisfy me.What you all think?

All of those issues could be resolved with a significant influx of cash. Sets could be rebuilt. The actors would be harder, but not insurmountable. If there was a new movie deal at the end with a real paycheck this time or a peice of the gate, most could probably be enticed to play. Someone just has to come up with 60 million or so. My wife said I can't have an advance on my allowance sooooo ......

Cleary, anything new from the 'verse would be welcome (the more the better). While I'd like a finished season one, I think a mini-series might be an idea to test the waters; written, like the BDM, as a stand-alone story arch but w/ enough possibilities to allow for more. If SciFi picked it up and handled it like BSG, I think it would have a pretty good chance. So, yea, great idea...now on to making it happen, which sadly I have no advice as to the how.
