Product Description
Diane Ford (Michelle Monaghan), a vivacious and successful independent truck driver, leads a carefree life of long-haul trucking, one night stands and all-night drinking with Runner (Nathan Fillion, Serenity, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, Castle) until the evening her estranged 11-year-old son, Peter (Jimmy Bennett, young James Kirk in Star Trek) is unexpectedly dropped at her door.

Apparently not enough. It says there is a short wait for me, although I just mailed off my previous disc so by the time they receive it Trucker may be available. Depends on which distribution center it gets mailed from.

Netflix now has Trucker available streaming from their website so I don't have to wait for the disc. If I wasn't so tired I'd watch it tonight but will probably wait until tomorrow because I have the day off.

Netflix does have Trucker streaming. It's a pretty decent movie. Sadly, Nathan Fillion's role wasn't that big, but I'll take what I can get.

I finally got the chance to watch Trucker this morning. Good movie even if a bit predictable. Nathan does a good job but his part is not much of a stretch for him as an actor.

The real reason to see this movie is for the great performances by Michelle Monaghan and Jimmy Bennett as her son. He is very impressive for such a young actor although he is certainly no newcomer. He'll be fourteen next month (probably 11-12 when filming this movie) and he already has more acting credits than Michelle.

As for her, she does what any actor should strive to do. Inhabit a character that is not themselves, but make it live and breathe so realistically that you believe she is the person on the screen. I have seen all but one of the films in which actresses were nominated for an Oscar last year. Michelle should have been one of them, replacing either Angelina Jolie or Anne Hathaway.
