Set your DVR's nevertheless. If enough people tune in, maybe the networks will consider another movie.

With Fillion starring in Castle, Glau in The Cape, Baldwin in Chuck, and Baccarin in "V" it's not likely that we'll be seeing another series. At least not with the original characters. But at this point, I'll take what I can get.

I would rather see a Firefly next Gen then see my favorite charactors end up being put out of allinement, that's my fear with new movies and shows, that I would be shattered by what they do, I didn't like the BDM afterall, so I fear further changes/alterations. Just my opinion, I'm aware it is an unpopular one.

My last post seems to have disappeared...

It's interesting to speculate what "Firefly II" might be like if Joss were given a greenlight in the near future.

Book and Wash are dead, and Mal and Jayne would likely not return due to CASTLE and CHUCK. THE CAPE and V are currently on the bubble, so Inara or River might be possible.

That leaves Kaylee, Simon, and Zoe. If Joss were to have as much time pass in-'Verse as in the real world, Zoe would have a 4 or 5 year old daughter, which might play havoc with things.

Obviously, a cast of 4-6 is a bit on the small side for Joss, so there would definitely be new characters. Given his predilection for re-using actors, I could see Felicia Day, Dichen Lachman, and Enver Gjokaj as possibilities. (Miracle Laurie and Franz Kranz, too, I suppose, but they might be too similar to Kaylee and Wash in overall vibe).

Given the fact that Simon would be the only returning male character, I'd think that Enver would be almost a lock.

Yeah, I know it'll never happen, but it's still entertaining to speculate.
