haha so busy. I might not even have time to be appreciated. I started a load of laundry when I stopped home for lunch today. I need to go get groceries after work. Start another load of laundry. Eat something. Then I want to run get my car washed. Then I need to clean the tiled floor by the entrance to my apartment. Cram some stuff into the patio closet so that it will look like there isn't a ton of clutter around. Then hopefully have some time to sleep. Oh yeah gotta pick up a package at the apartment office. Tomorrow morning I've gotta get the sheets and comforter going in the wash (guest is allergic to kitties and those are covered in fur). Close off that room for the day to keep it as allergen free as possible. Try to get all those things dried by the evening and then play the rest of the weekend by ear. Then jury duty bright and early monday morning. Ugh at some point I was going to try to look up some basic wedding dance tutorial on youtube or something. Guess that will have to be played by ear too. Too much!

Zeek...do not forget FLOWERS!! Just have a bouquet in a vase on either the coffee table or the dining table. Just trust me!
Also...I have jury duty envy. Every time I've gotten called, I get sent off by either defense or prosecution when they find out I've a masters in criminal psychology. I really want to be on a jury...sigh

The time I got called to jury duty the defense attorney was not ready and you could hear the judge shout from her chambers. The judge finished yelling and entered the courtroom with both attorneys. Since they were not going to start the trial, the judge dismissed us. So I missed that trial.

I second the flowers.

Too late for flowers now. At like 11:00 last night I get a message that her friend flaked out and now she needs to be picked up at the airport. So, now I'm going to take a long lunch to pick her up in like 2 and a half hours and then just leave her at my place while I finish up work. This is going to be one crazy weekend. I can just tell.

OK well hmm.... text her and ask if she has a favorite coffee brand. Then, on the way to pick her up get the coffee. Not too mushy romantic, but nicely thoughtful and kind. Shows consideration, but isn't pushy or anything.

Didn't see it in time. Sounds like she's a pretty restricted eater. Has some kidney and gluten problems. So, pretty much fruits and veggies are the name of the game. Glad I got at least some fresh fruit last night. Now she's just chilling at my place while I work.

I have no clue. Her good friend is getting into town around 3:00. I'm pretty much expecting to find them at my place when I get home. I would guess that they will probably make the decisions from there.

Another friend in town for the wedding wants everybody to do a happy hour. So, hopefully they'll just agree to do that. Then afterward there is talk of checking out the hot tub at another friends place. She didn't seem too into that idea when I was driving her back from the airport but all of her friend's friends sound psyched. Wish me skinny dipping!

Hey Zeek. Sounds like you're going with the flow. Enjoy.

Just finished watching a PBS documentary on Dragon-Con. It has everything. I like the parade. Brings the masses into the whole convention. The Miss Klingon Empire Contest was a hoot. No worry about having plenty of Klingon females to enter the contest. Needless to say there were assorted orange knitted Jayne caps that stood out in the crowd.

Yep I still like her personality. She'll remain a friend for sure, but she's thinking of moving to Turkey. That's pretty much a deal breaker. So, that's that IMO. Now I'll just have to wait for my brain to reconcile everything. Yes, she's cool and right in a lot of ways, but stop thinking like that cause she's wrong in too many other ways. Bad brain bad.

Nah with her "thinking" is serious business. It's pretty much set in stone. Though I'll be shocked if it sticks. She's just too family oriented and I don't see her surviving that long without being able to see them. Anyway that's a far cry from perfect. That's a massive canyon in the road to perfect town.

See, the problem is I'm kinda picky. For instance, I like 'em real young. Like, did you ever see Paulina in her first "Sports Illustrated" layout? That face, but with better headlights. You know how hers have kind of dimmed lately? Heidi Klums beams would do. And her teeth. Or, ooh, that Britney Spears girl. She's got great knockers. But she's a tad muscular. Uh, actually, you know what? Her ass would do, too, if she had a better grille. Like, uh, Michelle Pfeiffer back when she did "Grease 2". But she'd have to be a little smilier than Michelle. Kinda like Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, before she got Stamosed. But not as skinny. Someone a little meatier, like Heidi. But without the accent. You know those accents: yah-yah-yah-yah. They really get old fast. You know what I mean. Someone like that.

Had to be done. Who can name that movie?

I certainly don't have a problem with someone else moving away for a marriage, people are different, need different things, have different experiences and that's okay. There's absolutely nothing wrong with moving for someone in my opinion, I just know that, for me, that wouldn't happen. I like tomatoes on hamburgers, sandwiches and in other things, just don't like eating them straight.

Zeke, that paragraph sounds really familiar, I must have seen the film but I don't remember what it is.

OK so really if I'm going for perfect let's see.

Smokin body (cause if we're going for perfect I mean why not). Sarcastic sense of humor. Smart to at least the point of carrying on good conversation and being able to think through things presented to them and decide if they actually agree. Such as a news story telling you something is good or bad and then being able to weigh the facts and come up with reasons you agree or disagree rather than just accepting everything you're told. Not fanatical about religion but not opposed to it either. No strong ties to any specific political party. Again I like someone who looks at the facts and makes a decision. To me supporting a specific political party is like being prejudiced. Just because someone is in a party doesn't mean they're a uniform clone of everyone else in that party. They have their own views and opinions and you should decide whether or not you agree with that individual person. I don't want someone who's racist, sexist, or prejudiced of any group of people basically. I'd like someone who enjoys watching TV and seeing movies. Someone who at least tolerates sports. Someone who considers an evening at home curled up on the couch to be a good way to spend an evening. Not a heavy drinker. Definitely not a smoker. Not into drugs. Must at least give Firefly an open and honest chance. Must have a fairly decent self esteem. She can have her insecurities but I don't want someone who can't see their own worth. I guess along with that comes a strong personality. Basically I like to give people a hard time in a poking sorta fun way. Someone who throws it right back at me is awesome IMO.

And at this point I'm annoyed with MsA. So far the girl I'm writing off passes all those tests (ok maybe not smokin hot but hot enough) as far as I know. I mean she could be racist and just hides it well or something. I guess maybe the quiet night at home might not apply. Though she did say as a kid she loved pulling out the sofa bed and just spending a day on it watching tv with her mom. Damn you MsA.

I guess I have to add willing to settle down. I'm not big on change and moving every year or two is not going to cut it for me. I'm also a picky eater. Someone would likely have to put up with me on that one. I'm not completely stubborn about it. I went to a freaking indian food place last weekend, but at the same time I wasn't happy about it. I guess they also have to have fairly standard family values. 1 partner. Together for life. Kids are optional with me. I wouldn't be opposed but I wouldn't be upset to not have any. I guess I wouldn't want more than like 3 max. 2 is better. I'm not big into traveling. It's something I'd be willing to put up with in small doses but I don't think I'd be able to deal with a year abroad or something. Also I'm probably fairly boring. I like getting into a nice comfortable routine. So, she'd have to be ok with that. She'd have to be responsible with money or at least willing to follow a budget.

I'm just going to stop there. So, are those crazy things to look for? I wouldn't necessarily call any specific one a deal breaker if everything else fell into place, but I don't know. I'm a pretty picky person so I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped somebody cause they didn't fit that mold pretty closely.

Apart from the smokin hot.. I think it's a very reasonable list. I think you'll never find those things in a smokin hot package because anyone who is willing to put the time and effort in needed to look smokin hot is not likely to be all that steady , stable, or interested in settling down... if you scale down to hot I think that list works well

( also giggling quietly over the whole see I told you you might want to give the girl a chance. Maybe she'd be a homebody if she got serious...)

I'm going to look into it at some point. The only problem is I don't really want to deal with home ownership. Mowing lawns, repairing stuff that breaks, home owner's insurance, etc. Other than that it is probably a good decision. Plus then I could finally get the right angle to set up an HD satellite dish and jump up and down without worrying about bothering the downstairs neighbors. So, there are trade offs.

I would have a large house with at least 8 bedrooms in it, two stories, four bathrooms, a sun room, and a little two bedroom cottage in the back yard and a nice fence around it, a yard big enough for a garden and lots of big beautiful trees. Hopefully it is within walking distance of a stream or lake that I can swim in, but not too far out in the toolies. I would turn it into the group home that I want to own someday and we'd look after touched folk and it would be grand.

But if it were just me and I wasn't going to turn the house into my establishment I wouldn't be so particular, but I still want two stories.
