*Cough* Sometimes, just sometimes, cross-over rebrands don't work quite so well...

Firefly could be many things, I'll agree, heck, I even posted in that thread about Firefly without Serenity and I think there might be ways that could work.

But somehow Firefly combined so many familiar ideas (a used future, character archetypes, a space ship full of smugglers and a quasi-mystical Jedi-type with a penchant for blades) and made it sparkling and new. To add another familiar (very successful) show format to that would ultimately only water it down.
