There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has picked up at least the first six produced episodes of "The L. A. Complex" for a summer run.

Even though Jewel is not mentioned in that article, she is in the accompanying picture, and IMDb.com lists her as Raquel in all six of those episodes. The show begins airing in Canada next week.

I doubt I will bother watching the show past the first episode, but I will do that just to support Jewel's work. Hell, I watched two episodes of The Playboy Club, and that was torture.

I now have a sneaking suspicion that Whozit is the sockpuppet of KingEicholz (or vice versa), as he seemed to have an obsession with actresses' weight.

I've seen the first episode of The LA Complex, and I have to say the only reason I would continue to watch is to find out if Jewel's character is successful in getting a film deal for the two guys who cornered her at a pool party and forced their script on her.

She does not play a very nice lady, but her bitchiness is understandable considering she is playing an actress with former success who is having difficulty getting other parts as everyone seems to want younger women/girls. Hopefully this is not something Jewel is experiencing IRL.

I never watched Melrose Place or 90210 (either version), but I assume this is probably a lot like it. None of the other characters were very appealing, but it was just the pilot, so I'll see if anything improves with the second episode.

EDIT: Should be available Tue or Wed.
