Even better is the one with me in the midst of all those beautiful people. Please avert your eyes if you want to avoid my ugliness. Talk about Beauty and the Beast!

They were at the Dallas Sci-Fi Expo this weekend, from which I have just returned. I may not be much in the looks department, plus I never take a good photograph, but I have to say that as lovely as Jewel looks in this photo it does not do her justice. In person she is breathtaking, and her smile is enough to melt your heart. Yes, Adam is that big. I felt like a hobbit next to him. Not only did I get the group photo shoot, I also got autographs from the four of them on my Serenity comics and their Inkworks character cards.

As you can see, I lack autographs on Nathan, Gina, Alan and Summer's cards, but a couple of years ago a friend in Florida was able to get my comics with Alan and Summer's covers signed, so for those I only need Nathan and Gina's. I do have autographs for each of them on other items, including Joss, but I still have not met Gina, Alan, Summer or Joss.

Hey, Wishy, you could have made it too. I met a couple from California (and they are also planning to see Summer in Seattle next month), plus a nice lady who had driven down from Omaha. Indiana's not that much further. I'm sure the majority were from the Metroplex, but who knows how far others traveled.
