I couldn't get into it. I didn't like the characters or the actors or, most importantly, the writing.

Funny: TVtropes has a term for that; it's called "The Firefly Effect." ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheFireflyEffect)

I never watched Terra Nova. I just wasn't interested and didn't have a lot of extra time.

What reason had proved best ceased to look absurd to the eye, which shows how idle it is to think anything ridiculous except what is wrong.

I thought Terra Nova was a nice show, fun for a Mon. night. That's too bad its canceled.

By the 2nd or 3rd episode I knew it wouldn't make it very far but I persisted even though I didn't know why. I think I got to about episode 5 or 6 before I quit.
Far too many cliches and they were doing episodes that normally get used as filler episodes when the show has ran for several seasons, not in the first season. The characters were bland, uninteresting and perfectly fit a cookie cutter mould that had been used a hundred times before it.

It didn't deserve to continue, and certainly didn't live up to the hype that surrounded it.

I have to agree with Chrisisall on this one.

Id say this was pretty evitable...

Huge budget, low ratings, very little viewer loyalty, critically derided - it had cancellation written all over it from episode 2.

Besides, on TV, "Produced by Steven Speilberg" has meant "Cancelled by Season 2 at best" for about 3 decades now. ER being about the only exception to this rule (okay, Seaquest got a retooled 3rd season no one watched).

I watched the 3rd season of Seaquest...
But a rating of "1" wasn't good enough to keep it from being cancelled.

SeaQuest was hokey, but fairly imaginative entertainment, I just bought a couple seasons cheap and my kid loves it. It had the problem of having too many cooks in the kitchen, I think, as some of the epps seriously needed an editor of some kind that wasn't a big dork... But there are quite a few epps that were upbeat and inspirationaland innovative... Sadly, several of the cast are dead, including Jonathan Brandis-the young nice looking kid who committed suicide in 2003... I guess fame and looks just aren't enough for some people...

According to Brooks and Dunn you have to put a girl in it.
Sometimes life isn't that simple. Of course I like to think that people with looks and fame have unique problems we know nothing about.
I do know how easy it was to get lazy and spoiled when hubby was here to take care of all the big stuff. Now three years later, I wonder what all of my whining was about.
Imagine if you had nothing but people following you around telling you how wonderful you are all of the time. Everything you say is brilliant. Everything you do is profound. Self-image has to get out of balance unless you have people you trust to knock you on your ass and give you that wake up call on a regular basis.
Looks fade with time and fame dwindles it is inevitable. Who will you be when your fifteen minutes of fame is over?
I got off subject didn't I?
