Just wondering what everyone's fav episode of Firefly is?

Mine would be Jaynestown, and Objects in Space

I think I like Trash and Out of Gas the best, but most are sooo good it's hard pick. Jaynestown is very good as well.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Objects in Space, with Serenity a close second.

Tough, but I would say "Our Mrs. Reynolds," followed by "Out Of Gas," and then "Jaynestown."

How about a full list?

Out of Gas (10.0)
Serenity (9.9)
The Message (9.8)
Ariel (9.7)
Our Mrs Reynolds (9.5)
Objects in Space (9.3)
Jaynestown (9.2)
The Train Job (9.1)
Trash (9.0)
War Stories (8.7)
Safe (8.6)
Heart of Gold (8.3)
Bushwhacked (8.1)
Shindig (8.0)

(The Number in parentheses is the rating, out of 10, I would give the episode. Used to show how difficult a decision it is to order these).

Ask me again tomorrow, and I'll have changed the order.

Ariel. Then Serenity. Then Out Of Gas. Oh, the hell with it, pretty much all of them.

Mal-bad...in Latin.

Yep. Pretty much all of them is where I stand too. If I had to pick one, it would depend on what mood I was in at the time.

Good evening, mates:

Serenity, then Out o' Gas, and only because that's the order in which they must be viewed.

In fact, when I'm proselytizing, those are the two I start 'em out with. Okay, so that means I and F*x have something in common -- showing the eps out of order; but, it gives the converts a complete overview of all the characters in the show and doesn't ruin any 'big arc' storylines.

BTW, I'm 7-for-7, DVD-buying converts all...

Respectfully,

zoid

P.S.
I'd have paid to see the pilot "Serenity" in a theatre.

I'm surprised there aren't a lot of War Stories mentions, that's my all time favorite episode, it's pure Firefly perfection, I think. (And to give it an 8.7 Barclay! For shame! )
It's followed by Objects in Space and Out of Gas but there hasn't been one episode I didn't at least like some.

I would gladly sever a pinky finger (I've been watching "Black Rain") for a new episode even if it was only as good as TTJ, my least favorite episode.

Heart of Gold for me, with War Stories a close second.

HoG is such a classic old west scenario and tons of fun to watch. Seeing the gang on the eve of battle anxiously awaiting the morning is compelling TV. WS is funny and exhilirating by turns, with the bickering between Mal and Wash spliced with Wash leading the assault on Niska's station.

Now I love the more thoughtful progress of Firefly in comparison to other genre shows but I really like it when the BDH get into some proper action!

It's cool to see both on a superficial level, and as we get to learn so much about them elsewhere in the series it's interesting to see how they react in a combat situation.

I would have to say that it would be Our Mrs. Reynolds followed closely by Out of Gas and Jaynestown. My least favorite has to be Bushwacked though. It's a bit to morbid and creepified for me.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Without a doubt, Out of Gas is my favorite episode. The music was great and conveyed so much emotion and a forlorn quality it still chokes me up. The flashbacks also gave us some insight on how the crew met and first came aboard Serenity.
