Digsjayne is playing in Lago Vista with her band Vista Chix. They will be performing a song, "Keep Flyin'", dedicated to Lux Lucre, which Digs wrote.

Sorry there was no response here for this news. I attended the Vista Chix show last night, and enjoyed it immensely, all of it not just Lux's song. I was expecting something a little more folksy, but the Chix really rocked the house (outdoor patio actually) with several other originals along with covers of various standards from the likes of ZZTop, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, etc. I wish them luck in their future endeavors, and will be looking forward to hearing their new CD they will be recording in November.

There was quite a group of Browncoats (eight I believe) from Houston that made the trip, along with a couple from San Antonio and some from the Austin area, along with me from Waco.

I'm in agreement with ecgordon (love the origin of your screen name, btw; damn fine book!). The Vista Chix ROCK, "Keep Flyin'" (Lux's song) rocked, the food at True Grits rocked, Valgrl's brownies rocked, The Zak Perry band rocked... it was all good. And it didn't really start raining until we decided to call it a night. I would've liked the promised cold front, which missed us, but all-in-all it was totally worth the trip from Houston. Wonderful night of music, food and Browncoat fellowship.

We must do it again sometime!
