Lobby to bring the show back!

With so many programs not meriting our viewing, why wouldn't they bring back the show with as many of the original cast as possible? The cast is what made the show, granted the storyline is good but the players make it so believable. I never watched the show but found it on Netflix and it so captured my interest, I watched the entire series without stopping. Not many programs can keep me that interested in today's tv genres. You would think the sponsors would look for some program that would keep viewers interested and therefore, make them aware of the products offered. Either we've lost all our senses following reality television, frankly I have enough reality every day; or we need something like this show to keep us hoping that there might be a reality out there not so mundane.

What do the original actors and actresses say that were in the original cast?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Welcome, Cnut, always great to see new crew coming aboard.

Many people over the past twelve years have already said a lot of what you said, but it comes down to the fact that Joss does not have the rights to the story except for a continuation in comics at the moment. Most all of the actors are busy with other projects, and Joss still has at least another year, probably more, devoted to Avengers and other Marvel product.

It is great that you finally discovered the show, but what Firefly needed was more people watching in 2002. I'm not criticizing though, since FOX didn't promote it well, stuck it on Friday, plus a lot of new fans were probably too young at the time to be interested. Joss shopped it around to other networks at the time, but no one was buying. I think our best bet is to wait until Joss has completed his contract with Marvel, and at that time Netflix, Amazon or Hulu would be the ones to approach rather than the broadcast networks.

A few months back, one of the executives at Netflix said they thought that Firefly didn't have many new fans, just very vocal old fans. Maybe you should let them know that is not the case.

8:40 into Castle episode which aired on( 4- 21- 2014 )Nathan Fillion does an homage to Firefly. The man he is interviewing keeps calling him captain instead of Castle.

A show-and-tell presentation of the flower-filled tunnel of love Martha envisions for Castle and Beckett’s wedding serves as a precursor to the headache that comes with another pesky murder. The victim’s time of death was over three decades ago. Castle realizes the decomposed corpse is missing mafia man Vince Bianchi. The guy pulled a Jimmy Hoffa-like disappearance back in 1978. Suspects in the case include guys with names like “Louie the Lip” and “Mickey the Blade.” A member of Vince’s own crime family, who keeps calling Castle, Captain. Frank Russo, also had motive.

Serenity can only be achieved in the wilderness.

So wrong you are! The petition is twelve years too soon, not twelve years too late. Firefly will be back same as Star Wars 7, 8 & 9. Star Wars: Episode VII will have old Harrison Ford in 2015. Serenity: Episode II will have old Nathan Fillion in 2027 or 2028!
