I only agree with Serenity and The Tardis on that list.

The Defiant as #1? To live on?
No. It is one of my favorite spaceships, but no.

And no Millenium Falcon?
Galactica would be on my top 10, but not top 5.
Not familiar enough with the MST3K ship to have an opinion about it.

Tardis is a spaceship?
and Deep Space Nine?

Sci-Fi has fallen a long long way.

Hmmmmmmm... I will allow the TARDIS to be a "space ship" because among it's many qualities it does travel through space - and who wouldn't want a dwelling with unlimited space - you could always have somewhere to stick that thing you bought on sale but now you wonder why & have nowhere to put it... especially when folk are coming over... Serenity will always be my #1! The Defiant is a "little ship" which is meant for short-term use, and I do not think it's living quarters would amount to much more than bunks on a train... The Millennium Falcon - well, I know folk love it and all - but it's so 70s in it's decor and awkward in it's configuration... I'd love to live on DS9 or better still The Enterprise E! Or better still - Galactica! Babylon 5 might be interesting, too, for that matter, but I don't think DS9 or Babylon 5 are actually space ships - they are space stations and remain static and have ships dock with them... If we were going for static space stations I'd like to live on Earth's Lunar communities where one had a lovely view of our planet of origin as one sat on the shore of the Sea of Tranquility and watched the sun set behind the north pole...

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Serenity would be my first choice of course, but I don't understand why no version of the Enterprise made the list.

Serenity, a former military vessel?

Serenity is a VW camper van in space - great for a holiday, but not for life.

BSG is a fracking aircraft carrier - its going to be cramped, spartan, noisy and smelly.

Anything in the Federation universe... yeah, they have all mod cons, but how long could you stand all those shiny, happy, earnest, high-achieving people?

TV and film are too limiting: they can't afford the sets for a really comfortable ship.

The only civilised place to live in in space is a Culture General Systems Vehicle - all mod cons, safe as it gets (just don't get involved with Special Circumstances), nice post-scarcity society with indistinguishable-from-magic technology.

I would have ranked NSEA Protector, as long as I didn't have the quarters like Lazarus.

Both Protector and Serenity would have been for the camaraderie, not the amenities.

Out of that list, Firefly wins hands down for me. The other ships are either too big, too military or too cramped. Firefly is in the Goldilocks zone - it's cozy - not too big, not too small, and it's peaceful.
