BTW, I know it takes some larnin' but in thread replies there should be a

Oh, and happy early birthday

Thanks for the wishes and the update! :) My wish...that they bring our beloved series back (in some way, shape, or form)! Oh, and selfishly, that my book does well. :)

Jewelstaitefan-

I love reading the discussions of the episodes and the scripts. The attention to and the dissection of details is something my family and I do all the time. We love watching the episodes, but I think discussing them can be just as compelling.

~chexcentaur

Have you perused the Official Companion Books for Firefly and Serenity? I think there are 3 or 4 of them now.

Yup! I want to be as accurate as I can be. Besides, I just love to look at and discuss the nuances of the show. Especially when you're talking the philosophies behind the show- there are so many, and they're so varied!

So what does everyone do for a living? Do you ever get to go to any shindigs where you live? I'm up here in the highlands of Maine where there aren't any (except for the ones my family has), but I would love to hit one up at some point!

Living? I dunno I'd call it living. *Snort*

I been to a couple. The last couple times we tried a friend died two days before and the time before that we got hit with a tornado, so I'm leery of trying again...
But, good fun with good people raising good moneys fer books and shelters and whatnot. You'd be surprised how many countries we're in. I'm up to people from about fifteen countries that I've chatted with on here.

Welcome aboard.

You can use the "reply" button as you did to just post on an existing thread, it does not matter which other post you "reply" from, it is not specified in your post.

If you want to reply to a specific post of another, use "reply with quote" and then it includes the quote and indicates that you are specifically replying to that post.

If you want to start a new thread, find the appropriate forum and in the upper rightish panel there will be a button for "New thread" if you are logged in. To find the various forums, you can click on "Go to boards" from the main screen.

That what you were asking?

Not sure where else to post this, and I don't want to create another thread for it, so I'll ask here.

I recently got all of the comics and such (even the ones in "Still Flying") and was wondering what order they are meant to be read in? I've looked for timeliness online, but most are confusing or lacking material because they aren't kept up to date. Thanks in advance :)

Hey Zombie

I'd follow the dates on the inside cover?

Those Left Behind says Jan 2006

Better Days says March 2008

Float Out says June 2010

The Sheperds Tale says Nov 2010

The free comic (It's Never Easy) says May 4, 2012

Serenity: The Other Half and Downtime(internet says August 2008, November 2010 ? I dunno I lost track of these things...) This is the thread about The Other Half
online comic...
http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?bid=2&tid=34468&p=2

Here's the one for Downtime
http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?bid=2&tid=46138&mid=81
4578#814578

And Leaves on the Wind says January 2014

I mean, that's the order we all got 'em in and the order we all read 'em in (mostly) so...

Either way, I think I'd read one a week or something, as we haven't heard plans for more any time soon

Haven't posted in here in a long time.
Too many real life distractions and such.
Just started watching the episodes again today and before I knew it... I was finished with Shindig and all the Firefly awesomeness was reminding me of how much I love the characters, their stories, the world they live in and the drama and excitement that come with it.
Good to see that the site is still going strong. Looks a little different from back then but I like it.
I'm gonna have to start saving some coin for the comics though.
Thanks to the posters before me for talking about the comics.
Shiny!

I am brand new. Just watched Firefly for the first time on Netflix. I've always been a procrastinator,
But a big Joss fan. I was moving from Texas to Missouri at the time the show aired and It was
One that I just missed because of life events. I seriously don't know what to do with myself, I just rented and finished Serenity.

Help me!!! I'm feeling the pain! But excited that I will be at Chicago Comic Con in August with an opportunity
To get 4 pics and autographs.

Any other Browncoats going to be there? You've probably already gone on with your lives!

The three Firefly Visual Companions were compiled into the hardcover Firefly- A Celebration edition. It is a beautiful book. Unfortunately, the Serenity visual companion hasn't gotten the same treatment.

Hello to all the Browncoats out there! I just wanted to come by and say hi to all the other fans out there. I have never been too into SciFi as a genre but Firefly was awesome! I just discovered this show and I watched it about 20 times in a row, I can't believe I never knew about it before. Most shows that I watch I end up watching one time through and then I don't watch it again for a while, but I just could not stop watching Firefly. I watched the show like 20 times over and for some reason I was afraid to watch the movie, but I finally watched Serenity last night and it did not disappoint. I was really upset that they killed Wash and Book but for a moment there I thought they were going to kill everyone and that would have just torn me apart. It's amazing how this show only lasted 14 episodes yet it has made fans for a lifetime. I am officially a Browncoat now and I am really glad that I gave this show a chance. Most shows that only last one season I don't even bother with but there was just something about Firefly that drew me in, and I am so glad that I checked it out. My only regret is that I wasn't aware of the actually order of the episodes before I watched it the first time, but it was still great in any order. Before I go I just want to say thank you to all the true fans out there that never gave up on Firefly and pushed to have the movie made so people like me that came along 14 years later could really enjoy it all.

"Also? I can kill you with my brain."

well, I missed Firefly on the first run but I remember thinking a sci-fi show by Mr. Joss would be worth checking out... then it was gone. Never could justify spending money on Netflix so the first I saw of the Verse was Serenity. Of course I was gorram gobsmacked and fell deeply, passionately in love.

A friend just loaned me the disks soes I could catch up on the show.

And I am more in love than ever. I declare Firefly may just be the perfect sci-fi show. It's got everything I could ever want.

So here I am, on the ragged edge, wishing for more.
