K just a wondrin...i know it sounds maybe a lil less profitable then yall like cuz it wouldnt be goin into firelfy's pocket....but im thinkin an inexpensive and collective way of advertising firefly and serenity could easily be done by dropping a few bucks to create your own homemade posters or flyers or papers of whatever type....bring them to a kinkos...get them copied and then post them...im just saying...all the college age kids could be posting in dorms and school buildings...the break rooms at work can be a place of advertisement....heck...even a lamp post or some other piece of property like a mail box or something can have a sign placed on it...not free...but definitely cheap advertisement and im sure firefly would get noticed and talked about if people saw flyers everywhere...kinda hard not to take someones eye

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

If you are anything like me, and have no artistic apptitude, it is nice to know there are others out there who have been doing this sort of thing for a long time. First to come to mind is of course the shiny Browncoat known as 11th Hour.

Someone posted recently on another thread about putting the River Tam sessions and the Serenity trailer on CDs, writing "Can't Stop The Signal" on them and leaving them at places. I just might do this....

whatever you guys can do cuz its great to say hey lets all by these dvds and things related to firefly and serenity...and its cool that people are inviting friends over to have firefly nights to try and bring people to the verse....but maybe theres a lot of people out there who dont have friends that enjoy serenity or firefly and they are all being missed...sometimes its odd to go up to strangers to say hey come watch this wit me at my house....but if they saw dvds lyin around or flyers or whatever that browncoats spent a few dollars on to produce...it be cheaper then buggin the Big Guys in Suits to promote a show at very expensive costs....just a thought

Great idea - I second ecgordon's suggestion. 11th Hour's work is quite amazing, fits the 'verse and a telephone poll perfectly:

Seein' as how SciFi is going to be rerunning Firefly episodes again starting in March, maybe we can persuade 11thHour to make a couple little changes in his poster art. Make it "Firefly" instead of "Serenity", and change the DVD on-sale date to indicate that Firefly will be showing on SciFi in March...

Just an idea. I'll print up some flyers and post them around a few places locally. Maybe we can get a few new Browncoats and boost sales of the DVDs.
