I don't normally pose questions like this (O pride, you heartless wench), but I decided to try humility on for size and ask where this quote comes from.

Quote:

Jayne: We need coin!
Mal: You're right, we take all the money we got saved right now, we could maybe buy a moderately-sized gerbil.

I saw it on imdb.com and then tried searching for it, but I couldn't find the episode. I will admit, holding myself as a "watcher of the tapes, knower of the episodes," I am a bit shamed that I can't recall this quote.

Where is it from?

"We need coin!" is from the pilot episode, after Mal, Zoe and Jayne have met with Badger. It comes around the time that Jayne does his "ten percent of nothin' " math. However, if my memory is correct, Mal's reply to him is "Jayne! Your mouth is talking. You might want to look to that. But you're right. The last two jobs we had were weak tea. If we don't get paid for this, we don't have enough to fuel the ship, much less keep her repaired."

I don't recall anything about gerbils. Maybe Lemmiwinks stowed away on the ship.

So who is he?
He's my husband.
Well who in the damn galaxy ain't!
