I'm still relatively new here, so it wouldn't surprise me to learn that this has already been done to death. However, I'm way too lazy to go search for it, and too curious not to do it, so my NSH apologies if you've seen this before.

That disclaimer out of the way, here's the question:

Which Firefly character are you most like?

(I was going to call the thread "Which BDH Are You?" but I decided that there might be some Badgers, Saffrons, or Niskas out there and it wouldn't be right to exclude them.

I will kinda skirt a bit around your question.Answer 4 of the guys.

Jayne: I'm a bit like him in looks and build. I'm not as tall and don't have as short a fuse. I can handle my own though.

Mal: A bit of a commander in charge of my own Z-house. Family of 4 with the last word on how things will get done. Also leaderman over 6 guys at work.

Book: I can look at things from many angles. Tend to be open minded and may not agree but try not to be judgmental of ppl. There are places I will not go and things I will not discuss. Cruelty to children being the main one.I will not tolerate it.

Wash: I don't take myself serious much of the time. I understand ppl have differences of opinion and most threads I start are only asking for that opinion.

I can not see much of a link with Simon. It may be there I just don't know it.

I'm probably Simon mostly, with some Mal and Wash mixed in (humor and slightly less polite, but just as "not good at talking to girls" or social events in general, such as dances, parties, etc.) I'm not Jayne really, and i guess i have a little Operative in me because i, too, dream of a better world. Although mine's more like Firefly and Star Trek then the Alliance. As in Firefly like freedom to do what you want, the Browncoats and the whole living in space thing. yeah, but if i asked anyone to name who i was they'd answer Simon immediately. And i'd agree.

Hmmmm *thinks vry hard about it* Ouch. *I hurt my brain*

Anyway, all the little quizes I've taken come out as Mal or River. I see the Mal but that's cause I'm a lot like my dad. He's definately a Mal.

The River, I can see that. I'm not as crazy as her (I hope) or as hurt but I do identify with and understand her more than is probably healthy. It could indicate that I'm crazier than I think.

For my own self though...I have to go with Nandi. She's strong and intelligent. She's Mal's kinda stupid, and she wrestled out a piece of this verse for herself and there's no way in hell she'll give it up, no matter what's against her.

Hard to say definitively as I have a mild form of bipolar. When I'm up, I'm Kaylee; when I'm midway, closer to Zoe (coincidentally my real name); when I'm down, I'm rather worse than Mal is at the start of the BDM. oops. And when I'm writing, as I often am, I have definite snatches of River. Something about the pensiveness and the super-fast connections between thoughts.

Is there a test somewhere? I don't think I've seen it.

Personally, I like Mal the best out of the characters. But people tell me I'm most like Wash. Pretty good at what I do, but very laid back. And very weird.

When I take the tests that are out there, I almost always get Zoe, which is probably closest to my inner self, though not necessarily that close to what I show the world.

However, the best representation of me in Firefly is the scene in Shindig when Kaylee is at the ball. The girls make fun of her dress, but Kaylee ends up happy as a clam talking to the guys about engines. That's me: even when I'm dressed up like a lady, I'm still most comfortable talking to guys about guy things, hehe. I have a terrible time trying to talk to women who aren't tomboys like me.

And that answer to this same question asked elsewhere was what got me dubbed with this name.

Hmm... Difficult one.

I'm part Wash - I tend to have a wacky sense of humour.
Part River - I tend to get a bit unbalanced at times and act on impukse for no reason at all.
Part Zoe/Jayne - I can handle myself when things get rough, but it's a coin toss wether I keep my cool, or just use unrestrained testosterone.

I am quirky and semi-muscular man like Wash, who really isn't a fighter (I'm honest), but enjoys a good Hawaiian shirt and dino fight. However, my darkside falls to Mal. I'm a tortured soul.
