Hey all!

I'm a new convert. My brother has Firefly and Serenity on DVD and he let me borrow them.

Now I've been a HARDCORE CSI fan for nearly four years. I love all the fictional crime shows.

But I didn't even get halfway through the first episode on the first disc and I was almost as deeply in love with Firefly as I am with CSI. And that Love is growing fast!

And then he told me about Fox and the idiots over there and what they did. I was ! Makes me jus wanna go down there and somebody! So any I can do to help get it back on the air or another movie or whatever... count me in!

Hello and RRTI welcome to our part of the verse. It can be a little rough on the rim moons and outter planets but at least we follow our own rules. Someone will be along in a while to get you your very own virtual browncoat. We wear them with pride around here and everyone looks nice and spiffy in them.

Glad to have you aboard :)

Welcome to our corner of the 'verse, RiverRunsThroughIt!! Please let me offer you a drink in celebration.

Yeah, I'm a 'snuff TV' addict as well, but am much fonder of the original CSI than the spins, but also watch Cold Case and Without a Trace. And when I had cable, I was very fond of The New Detectives, which is where Bruckheimer got the idea for the CSI shows. (If you haven't seen it, it's on the Discovery Channel on the weekends and outlines real cases solved through forensics. Check it out!)

So...welcome to the fold. We're pleased as punch you're here.

Have fun poking about, join in where and when ya like.

Yea! *does the happy New Recruit dance*

Maybe I've been too much of a lurker these days to say this but, you know, welcome!
I'm not really into any of the CSI stuff, although I sometimes watch it "when it's on", which admittedly seems to be quite often. I prefer "Crossing Jordan", although I don't watch that on a regular basis, neither.
Sigh, I want "Firefly: Jaynestown" and "Firefly: Osiris" and "Firefly: Ariel" and...

I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark.

Ahoy, RiverRunsThroughIt! You're #25371 on
our shiny crew. Great screen name. I'll
think of the patter of tiny feet in combat
boots when I see it.
And LambyToes, great screen name for you,
too. Getting some good ones lately.
(Agatsu, good to see you back -- you've been
mighty scarce recently)

It's time for a big bowl of these super-big,
super-sweet strawberries I nabbed during a
little private caper on a moon whose name I'll
keep to myself for the safety of all.

And let's break out a jug of Mudder's Milk.
I know there's some in one of these hidey-holes
that's at least six months old.

Hot cheese on the buffet, so let's all gather
'round for the questioning.

I'm very sure I'll be very happy here!

Now if y'all don't mind I gotta get in my dose of firefly before bed.

G'night!

Operative: "Its worse than you know..." Mal: "It usually is."

Welcome to all the newbies. Watch out for the ships cat =^..^= and try not to step in her bowl,....somebody else usually says that, but I'm up at this hour....we are very glad to have all the new people, it means that the work we've done to spread Firefly around is working! You must do what we do now, and recruit new flans! You might not understand "flans", Nathan stumbled on his words in an interview, and called us "flans" instead of "fans".

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site RiverRunsThroughIt! We're glad to have you here with us. Hope to see you posting with us often.

Thanks for sharing how you found Firefly with us. We love reading how new people discovered the 'verse and fell in love.

Be sure to spread the word just as your brother did with you. The more new fans we bring into the fold the better our odds of getting Joss to continue the story.

Take care and keep flyin'!

Regarding the OP:

Did you know that when they have to change out some major piece of equipment on a submarine, they cut a hole in her side (in dry dock), do the work, and weld it all back together afterwards?

Maybe a little extreme for a chest of drawers, but hey...

Guilty as charged, me Bunny. I had this phase of denial and sadness about Firefly. I couldn't even listen to Firefly music anymore without getting teary eyed, so I took a little break, just to keep my fragile little sanity.
I failed, muhahahahahahaha, but I'm still back.

And I agree with the old Hippie - a fine choice of name, Riverrunsthroughit!

Haven't all of us who have suffered from Fly-itis
for any length of time? You're not alone, Agatsu.

"Glad you're back now, on the ship..."

you were missing)

I keep up my courage with captioning and trying
to catch newcomers off-guard with goo-gobs of
strawberries and Milk.
