I just these last few weeks discovered Firefly and Serenity for the first time. What's going on with keep it alive these days? Is the fanchise over or is there still hope for a new life anywhere? Cable? SciFi channel/TV movie? Miniseries?.... anything? please God I hope so.

Well, there's been some comic books dark horse has produced...

The thing about firefly is, everyone who worked on it still loves it and would like to see more. Joss is pretty busy, but some of us have our fingers crossed still for some kind of mini-series or summer series eventually. There doesn't seem to be anything in the oven right now, though.

A lot of people get involved in campaigns to raise awareness of firefly/serenity, because it's a story that deserves to be continued.

There's a lot of people working on fan projects, too, they're not too hard to find.

Anyway, welcome!

Turn others onto the show. The more Browncoats there are the better the chances of something happening in the future.

Even if there is no hope for more Firefly/Serenity, it is still the best gorram show ever.

Welcome, Flashcal! Good to have ya aboard. Not much news from the 'verse lately (Joss Whedon is working on another series right now, Dollhouse, and many of the principle actors have current TV projects), but from time to time a signal gets through. :)
