...and see Joss continued his tradition for shocking aburpt deaths of characters. However i like this, as it underlines the sense of loss and sacrifice it takes to fight the good fight.

Overall I thought the show was very good. I wouldnt say it's on a par with Firefly or even Buffy/Angel, but, like Firefly, i felt if it had been given a couple more seasons it could have really grown.

So two questions, one is actual wantin info and other is to get your opinions:-

does anyone think there is any chance it could continue as maybe a movie, even made-for-tv, or any other networks shown an interest in pickin it up? I live in Scotland so kinda outta the loop on that stuff.

also, how do people feel about the way Joss ends his series? Angel was very ambigous and i felt similar with Dollhouse. Is this because he likes to leave the door open to resume if possible, or so viewers can have their own ending, or both?
Cheers

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

As to your first question, I doubt there has been any interest from another network or movie studio to continue Dollhouse. Its ratings were terrible.

As for how Joss ends his series, I don't think you can consider either Firefly or Dollhouse to have an ending as Joss originally conceived it. The events in Serenity might have taken place in the second or third season of Firefly, but wouldn't necessarily mean the way he thought the entire series would end.

In my opinion, he did a very good job of ending each season of Buffy in a way that could have been a series conclusion if it had not been renewed, but it still left places the show could have gone, as we are seeing in the continuing comics.

JMHO, I think Joss prefers to leave things 'loose', I could be reading something into it though. It is easier for us to 'finish' it the way we would like it to go, like with Alpha,...I started a whole story in my head about how he fared after they were 'freed'. Any other idea folks?

Yeah, no real chance for a continuation of the series. Plus, if you couldn't tell from the accelerated story telling (DeWitt coming in and out of Alcoholism in a little over a day) Joss ended the story his(albeit unwillingly)way. When he realized he wasn't getting more time to tell the story he finished it. I have no idea if this is where he saw the series going originally (though I think it is) but he saw the writing on the wall and made a conclusion so that it wasn't just left to be scattered by the wind. Even if it's a bit of an unsatisfying one.

I'm assuming you saw Epitaph 2 not the last normal episode of season 2, as yes that would be rather unfulfilling. But I thought the story had come full circle, leaving the world to rebuild itself, the Rossum company shattered, and most of the characters having their involvement in the whole series of events rather... complete I thought. Surely not "happy ever after" but "not involved in pivotal world events ever after" lol
