Oh if only it travel well Jimi I'd have it out in the post today:)

Rugbug- not color blind, just morning impaired and as I am in charge of the laundry and don't always get all the stuff put away in the drawers in a timely fashion, it saves him getting frustrated and having to run down to the laundry room and rummage to find stuff to wear
Oh I got that free panty thing... they are evil. I went in and by the time I was done 2 bras, 4 panties, and a pair of lacy boy shorts were in the bag and I'd spent way more than I meant to...bath and body works does that to me too...Oh well I love the stuff and I can always work more:)

Hair? Did someone mention hair?

Hi everyone! Still missing you all bunches. Still only able to drop by occasionally at lunchtime. Things are going well. My incredible bout with back pain has eased. I am off the percocet that didn't agree with my stomach and am only using Tylenol. I've requisitioned a new office chair which I suspect is the source of my issue.

Carson starts 1st grade at the end of the month. We are in that "gear up for school/do you have enough clothes / lets get another pair of sneakers" mode. He is so excited to be going back. My little scholar.

Otherwise, things are about the same.

Yeah I know, MsG, wishful thinking. I need to develop some method of perfect freeze-drying so that it comes out tasting just the same when you are ready to eat it again, that would do it.

You have lamb leftover? I've never heard of such a thing! ;-)

I'd press the leftover lamb into a second service as an open-faced hot sandwich. You can use all of the ingredients that you have, or if it is primarily only leftover lamb, then heated and served on a crusty bread with a Dijon/oil/blackpepper sauce. Serve with a side of carrot puree.

Mmmm. Now I'm hungry.

Oooh love the open faced sandwich. I could use nice European crusty bread and thin slice and pile it up with the leftover sauce and some emmenthaler cheese on top and broil...re-slice the potatoes and crisp them up in a pan with some garlic, add the carrot puree( with a little wild lavender homey and cinnamon and bingo...tonights dinner..good thinking Fly

Mavs, I think we need a road trip to MsG's to help her with her leftover lamb problems.

EDIT: Oh, I completely understand the leftovers part, MsG. sister brought a leg of lamb that I grilled at the Memorial Day shindig, and between 8 of us we didn't finish it. It took me a week and a half, having some at least once every other day, to finally kill it, and that was with Aiden helping me out.

And there's your answer. Makes your weirdness not so weird. You make packets (heh) so you don't have to put the laundry away immediately. (I HATE putting laundry away...it's the number 1 cause of a messy house at Casa de Rugbug).

Which is exactly their evil plan. Doesn't work on me, though. I go in, get my free panties and leave. Usually. Sometime I get more. Found some undies I really like and just have to get more. Actually, I have to go to the website to see if they still carry them as they weren't in the store the last time I was there. That would make me sad. They are the most comfortable...and still have some sex appeal ('course anything called Angels V-String should be sexy by nature) so bonus all around.

Edited to say: We girls (the boys can play too, if they want) ought to alert each other of any free coupons in magazines. Every once in a while Vickis puts the free panties coupon in...Good time to visit stock up. :D

You have an interesting "Homey". My homies might consider themselves "wild", but certainly not "lavender".

I use honey and a small pinch of cardamom with carrots.

I've also made a vinaigrette with a honey-base for mixed greens. (Greens, small orange chunks, pecans, crumbled bacon, feta.)

Edit: The Dijon/oil/pepper emulsion goes really well with a honey ham.

Edit2: I'm only on book 2 of Kim H. So shhhh the shhhh up!

When I designed my house (yes I designed my house) I put a washer/dryer in the walk-through closet. Now putting away laundry is 1) pulling shirt out of dryer 2) putting shirt on hanger 3) turning around and hanging up shirt. Repeat for underwear, minus the hanger.

Oh, hell. What a dummy I am! I hit "reply with quote" which made the spoiler visible. Geez. Oh, well. That spoiler doesn't bug me too much.

And, yeah, the laundry/closet is on the same floor as the bedrooms, where clothes, bedding, bath towels all reside. The only washable stuff that moves up/down a staircase is the kitchen towels.

My wife suggests that in the next house we should plan for a white washer for whites, a black washer for darks, etc. Just funny enough to do that...

Oh, great. Now I'll be reading a book and thinking of the type of sex that MSG likes. Not that that in and of itself is a bad thing, if not suggestively voyeuristic, but it will rend transparent the fourth wall. Kist and MSG, sitting in a tree...

\Househunting ( or how to break up a marriage in 5 days..) I found one I love MisterG hates it...I found another...he hates that too. So far we've found one house out of 27 listings we both like....ARGH... He refuses to look at one just because it's connected to another house by a wall..it's got a great floor plan, it's adorable, in our price range, has a walk in closet, jetted tub, fireplace, and all the things on our joint criteria list. He even loved it til he found out the wall was shared...then poof now we can't even go look. No, no. It wasn't an "overshare". Or a "TMI". Not at all. It is just that there are times that I like to think of you naked, and times that I like to read Kim H. Now they are mixed. It'll be tough to read about Kist and not think about your sex preferences. It'll be hard to look through the K's in the phone book and not think about your kinkiness.

Before you go thinking that I'm a pervert for thinking about you naked, there are really only two times that I do. Daytime. And nighttime.

While I'm sure it's frustrating to find one you like, what a fun thing to be able to do. I LOVE houses and architecture, etc. As a kid my mom and I would go through all the model homes we could, just dreaming. When I was visiting her about two weeks ago, we were driving through a new development and alas, the models were open for another 20 minutes or so...so in we went. It was fun.

And there's the whole 'I will never be able to afford a house in this town' thing that makes me jealous you are in the market. Home prices here are ridiculous. The houses my mom and I looked at (approx 2 hours south of here) started at $880k...and they border the barrio where I grew up...where I had playmates that were murdered.

Yeah the prices in Cali scare me silly...
The place we want to move is too built up for building our own. My frustration is that MisterG is very hard line definite and won't consider anything if it has even one thing he doesn't like ( and the list is long) So even though this house meets all his criteria, he won't look because it shares a garage wall with the house next door. I love this house and it meets all our shared criteria and all my " oh it'd be so cool if it had this, but there's no real chance wish list stuff" but we're not looking at it...sigh Oh well I'm sure we'll find something really nice that he likes and I'll be fine with that. I really am pretty content with just about anything. My only criteria for the list were: bigger than this one, has a dining room or kitchen with space to eat in, near my parents, with sprinklers and dishwasher.I'm pretty much happy with anything. I just need him not to show me the options so I see something I'd love and then be disappointed not to get to see it.

Hey guys.

I sympathize with the house hunting frustrations. We bought this place a year ago, and we aren't/weren't planning on moving again for another 4 or 5 years. And the housing market has taken a bit of a dive since we bought our condo, so we probably couldn't sell it for as much as we paid for it right now. It's California, so the market will eventually rebound, but we're both starting to realize that we may need to move to a place without stairs a lot sooner than 4 years. The next house *must* be wheelchair accessible. I'm not quite at the point of handicap bathroom, but I would definitely keep an eye out for one (or one that could be easily modified, unlike our current bathroom) during house hunting. Sigh.

Anyhow, just dropping by to say hi.

Hey move here...we're definitely more in your price range and all...HUGS and I know just the house:)I wish you were feeling better...and who knows maybe you'll find a doctor who knows just what's wrong and they can get some treatments going and you have many more years of stairs in your future.

And "the desert heat is good for you"!!

CK - Can you equip your stairs with a motorized lift? Some insurance plans pay for that kind of thing.

CK, I've got no real estate experience but could you rent your current place while you wait for the market to turn back around?

Hmmm I guess after thinking for a second it's probably that you need the money from selling that place to buy the new place.

Argh...Now I'm thinking of many of the fff.net guys in VS undies. Gack.

Gah, CK. I hope you rebound and things improve. I hate to think of you in a wheelchair or stuck because of some stairs.

msg: The connecting wall is the garage? And the houses are on the opposite sides (so far away from each other?) Well, then I say he's being a bit unreasonable to not even look at it.

MisterG...this is for you. Go look. If you don't, MsG might mess with your packet...shirt not matching the pants or something like that.

Wow starting at 800k - probably smallish, too.

Yup, I like the new house thing, too. Wouldn't you want to own a ranch?

Internet hugs are fine. :D The, by their very nature are no-contact. :D

Actually, the houses were nice sized although with very small bedrooms. Around 2000 sq ft. I always talk about the 700 sq ft house next to me that sold for 550.

Nope, don't want a ranch. In a perfect world of sunshine, puppies and roses, I would always board my horse(s) and live in a cottage style house. 1000 sq ft seems plenty to me if it's designed properly. I actually LOVE my 535 sq ft place. Just wish there was a little more storage space.

Oh I know, almost anywhere is cheaper than here. We paid almost as much for our 1/1 condo as my parents did for their 5 bedroom + den, 4 bath house with pool and huge yard in Austin TX. But hubby's job is here, and I don't think the company will ever move out of this area. And we really like the area, we definitely want to be here long term. The plan was to be in this place for 5 or 6 years, and then just as our oldest nephew is hitting kindergarten, move to a bigger house with a guest bedroom or two, so that we could have family come visit. Ideally I would still love to do that (I love our condo now, and would like to save up for a really nice place for our next move), but I have to figure out some way not to become completely homebound in the meantime. Being able to do the grocery shopping on my own again would be a large improvement.

There isn't much we can do to change this place though. The stairs are outside and technically part of the shared condo association, so I don't think a motorized lift would be an option. The bathroom is tiny and has zero room for modifications, unless we re-did that entire corner of the condo (one of our neighbors has been remodeling her bathrooms since we moved in 14 months ago, heh), but the bathroom isn't (yet) as big of a problem as the stairs are.

I'm mostly just griping though. Nothing big has changed really, it's just an issue of being faced with the realities of how bad this can get. Nothing new on the doctor front, and even if the next specialist (doctor #16) can diagnose me quickly, it'll easily be 6 to 12 months before the treatment kicks in, assuming it ends up being one autoimmune disease or another. And at this point, I'm not expecting to be cured, just diagnosed and treated. So even if I can rebound with proper treatment, eventually I will need a place that's wheelchair accessible.

We can't take the sky from you, CK. I applaud your attitude and your realist outlook. I still want to throw all my Karma at a miracle. But even a proper diagnosis and good treatment would be much better than a degradation in your physical abilities. I do hope the best for you. Thanks for stopping by again, I (probably all of us) like to hear from you.

Take care.

No more talking about yummy food! I had like 15 minutes to eat soggy, microwave reheated pizza for lunch. You and your leg of lamb with a side of yum and cinnamon bread is not helping.

OK so I'm bitter that my co-worker is on a cruise and I'm swamped with all the work and it's only Wednesday and I'm ready to give up. Plus I've had about enough of people coming to me complaining about programs I didn't write crashing on Saturday. I'm not going to help you on my Saturday people leave me alone!!

Last night:
A few things got sorted out this morning from last nights activity. Mindy quit taking her anti depressants because they actually made things worse. She had a few drinks and did alot of crying. This morning she went to see the doctor that gave them to her and pretty much told him to put them in his butt. She has called the mental health provider in Reno and will be seeing a new doctor soon.

Get this- the doctor that gave her the meds is a general practioner. He didn't have her call to update her state with him at all. She is changing medical doctors today.

Thanks for the order to stand fast. Not forcing the point is so important and so is not budging.

Now it seems I have to work more on job attendance. Seems my job performance is still doing good but only because I know to get things done in case I'm late the next day.
