Sad to hear about the movie, but honestly my impression from the trailer was that it was going to be big on flash and little substance. Glad I waited on it.

Rainy, dreary Tuesday. Power outage last night that went on for about 5 hours. Made for a long evening. At least the power came back up around 3 this morning so we didn't have to wake up to a cold house. Still not sure how light rain knocks out an entire neighborhood for most of the night, but it is par for the course with Virginia Dominion Power.

So excited for Vikings to return! Hope that the stills and trailers I've seen that seem to depict Lagertha cozying up to King Ecbert are not indicative of where her character is headed this season.

Supposed to drop down to 16 here tonight. Our humidity is currently 40%, but it supposed to climb to between 65 & 70% tonight. Should be good and cool in the morning.

I don't give Friday the 13th any mind. I am not a Templar so therefore I have no need of worry. ;)

Hope everyone has had a good week so far. Almost over.

Had to drop the wife's truck off at the shop last night. Sounds like the engine fan bearing is shot. Hopefully it won't be an expensive fix and the shop won't have it for a week.

Sounds like you did very well for Valentine's Day Sister! Congrats!

Hope you are doing well. Heard it is primarily ice, wind, and power outages in your neck of the woods. Reports say that Tennessee and Kentucky were hit pretty hard. Calling for 6-12 inches here. Already snowing and have a couple of inches on the ground. Got in plenty of fire wood, and all prepped in case we lose power.

Hunker down and ride it out browncoats.

Hope you are okay out there Sister and the rest of the troops are well, safe, and warm.

We got 10 inches in my area yesterday. I was out in it last night at 11:00pm shoveling the sidewalk, the driveway, and a path to the road. Prevented me having to fool with much other than cleaning off the truck this morning. Less than half the staff showed up at work today, but of course we are one of the few businesses in the area not closed.

Tomorrow will be the tricky part once the snow melts from traffic, then refreezes overnight turning into a sheet of ice. Should make our trip.....interesting.

Be careful out there browncoats.

Sorry to hear about the continuing bad weather Sister. Stay hunkered down, stay warm, and ride it out.

Still below freezing here, but at least the main roads are clear. Side streets and secondary roads are still a mess. Not supposed to get above freezing until Sunday and there is a chance of more snow tonight.

Time to move further South I guess.

So excited for season 3 of Vikings to kick off tonight! I will be glued to the set!

4 degrees? Ugh. 12 here this morning. Snow and ice on the roads is mostly melted. Still plenty on the ground and we're not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday.

I did see an article on the Tesla batteries. That would be great, but I highly doubt that the big power companies or their backers in Congress will ever allow an affordable alternative to ever get off the ground, let alone be made available to the public.

Hope you're ok out there in the frozen wastes of TN Sister. Got down to 1 degree last night. What's worse than it being 1 degree outside with a wind chill of -6 you ask? How about waking up with the power out. Yep, woke up just before 6am this morning to find the power off and the temp in the house in the mid 60s. Not cold enough to be of concern, but with me heading out to work it was a bit of an issue. Luckily the wife type let me know it came on shortly after 7:00. Total outage was only about 2 hours so we were lucky.

So the season 3 premiere of Vikings was pretty awesome last night! Anyone else get to watch it?

Our power's been in and out as well.
Bracing for the next storm set to begin later today….
snow, wind, sleet, ice…they're just saying pretty much
everything. Oh and it's 16 here with a wind chill temp of 6.
Sucks.
But it's Friday and I'm making chili and brownies so
all is good.

WOW…Vikings new season looks to be FANTASTIC!!
Ragnar kicking some British ass!
Looks like beautiful land for farming, but at what cost?
So glad it's back.
We're above freezing, but when cold rain falls on top of snow,
it makes this pebbly icy sheet that is no fun to walk on.
We DO have a backup genny, but it's up in the motorcycle storage
building to provide light. In a pinch we could wrestle it back up
to the house.

Glad you got rid of the snow finally Sister. Still on the ground here. We got a sleet / snow mix Saturday evening that made the roads messy, but not enough to close things down. Sunny and warmed up to high 30s yesterday which melted off a bit. Hopefully we can avoid any more for this season.

At least you have a genny. Hope you don't need it and are forced to muscle it back to the house.

It wasn't bad. Cool, but any day in the saddle, right? Did get some snow on the ride home, but nothing so heavy as to be unsafe and no accumulation. Of course they were calling for 1-3 inches tonight, but now the forecast has changed to 5-8 inches. *sighs* Thought we were done with the white stuff this year, but I guess it will be whatever it will be.

We got another 5-6 inches here, but luckily most of the snow from last week had melted away. Neighborhood and secondary streets were bad, but once I got the truck to the main road it was a fairly easy commute.

Like you Sister I am over snow and winter in general. While snow is pretty to look at, it is not so much fun to drive in and less fun to have to shovel from my sidewalk and driveway. Ready for Spring to get here. Hated leaving the bike in the garage today. *sighs*

It did indeed Sister. At least it got warm enough to melt the snow on the roads to make them safer today. Calling for low 60s one day next week, but forecast is saying rain 2-3 days next week. *sigh*

I know that Ecbert is up to no good in his flirting w/ Lagertha. I hope she doesn't fall for it. Some serious brutality in the show last night. Wow. Violent times indeed.

Good luck with the furry friend Sister. Hope everything is okay.

Sleet turned to rain yesterday and it stayed just above freezing. Saturday never got above freezing. 52 degrees here today and sunny. Makes me long for Spring all the more.

Dropping off the iron horse at the shop this afternoon. Time for the 30k once over, inspection, and replacing the front tire. Going to be without her until the weekend, but that is alright I suppose since they are calling for rain tomorrow and Wednesday and then snow turning to rain Thursday. Joke's on you Mother Nature, my bike will be in the shop! LOL

Snowing here now. Had sleet earlier. Leaving work in about 30 minutes to make the long drive home in this mess. Should be fun.

Weather for us looks to be in the 50s this weekend and a few days next week as high as low 60s. Like you Sister I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully this is the last Winter storm. The storm is named Thor by the way and came on Thor's Day. Coincidence? I think not!

Big Suck. Warm, but overcast here. Saying we will hit 70 today and sun will come by early afternoon. Wish I had the bike as it sounds like a marvelous day to ride home.
