Well, it seems 2020 is going to be the year of everything breaking! Half of our house lost power and even with a new circuit breaker..it's not fixed! Back to the hardware store for more stuff!!

Had the thickest fog I've ever seen roll in last evening..and then more rain. It's going to be 70 degrees today...not at all like a normal January!

Okay...my car is fixed (that's the good news)...but last night a giant tree from a neighbors' property fell down and smashed my husband's shop!! The back wall is bowed out...the roof is folded and most of the tree is laying both across the building and down our driveway....oh, and tomorrow it's supposed to start raining again!
Hoping for a better week ahead.

Insurance company hasn't sent an adjuster and says they can't help us with tree removal (but until they do...don't touch anything so they can get pictures)..but we can get building repair estimates. Building repair people say they can't do a damage estimate until tree is removed. Catch 22...23...and 24.

Insurance guy finally showed up...we have to get the tree removed from the shop roof before they can 'estimate' damages so we're working on that now!

YES!! The insurance people sent a crew out to put a tarp over the tree-damaged roof which will protect it since we're getting rain today. Hopefully a repair crew will be next to fix it!!

Refilled the bird feeders and have quite a flock of hungry critters zooming in and out this morning. Also had to 'release' a house wren from our garage...she seems to like staying in there at night and then chirps her head off to be let out each morning!

Awww, Thank you THG for the winter hug! It is pouring rain here...a portion of our driveway has wash away and there's more 'lake' than field out front today. Also it's like 60 degrees! I guess the ticks and mosquitos will have a very good year...ugh.

The rain has finally stopped..but left a mess; at several point the water was well above the main road to our driveway; about TWO FEET above it! Scary..but we're okay...just have a driveway to repair and lots of debris to clean up!
