Oh, yeah...Penguin. He and PR have all of the emoties...crush us without even trying.

It has been awhile since I have paraded out all of the ducks, though...

That ought to make for an interested kitty. If not, this might work...

RUGBUG

Ah, wednesday morning emoticon-y goodness. I'm too lazy to do the emoticons with any regularity. I've got some, but I hate having to open another page, copy the url, blah, blah, blah. Lazy, I tell you.

More odd adventures in on-line dating. It's so weird and artifical. But onward through the fog. T-minus 27 days and counting 'til I've found my true love. :heh:

MisterG: Can you package up one of those bacon bleu cheese burgers. Yum. It could conceivably make it to CA before it was too gross. ;)

Oh yes. They said I would find someone if I signed up. I signed up for 1 month, so....

The internet is chugging away searching for the love of my life. You may experience some slowdowns in the coming days, but it's all in service of Rugbug's true love, so please don't be mad. Heh....

RIMGIRL

Good luck to all in finding a soul mate. I have and it's really, really good.

Did you ever notice how what originally drew you to someone is what ends up driving you crazy? "Air of calm" becomes "emotionally unavailable". "Effervescent personality" becames "irredeemable party girl". "Laid-back" becomes "lazy bum".

My husband claims that he was deceived. He started going out with me because I was a financially independent career woman who was up for the all-night restaurant when the bar closed. Now he's killing spiders for someone who goes to bed at 10 p.m.

I am hopeless at emoticons.

Back from greece!
It was excellent, Greek boys are the hottest in the entire world, its like my eyes were in heaven for two weeks, though none of them came anywhere near Alan Tudyk.....

Whats this I have missed??!!!?? Tristan is getting a divorce? WTF? Please explain!
hang on, just read you blog, you poor baby, *sends a virtual hug* hope things pick up for you soon!

NV: thats great that pyscobilly loved serenity, convert 'em early, I say.

PR: almost done my fist chapter, I'll send it over as soon as I've typed it up.

Fist day back to school today, me now being a year 11, , *blows raspberry of disgust* so lots of exams *blows a bigger raspberry of disgust*. The thing I love about first days back is seeing all the new tiny year sevens, all nervous and sweet, with their rucksacks that are bigger than themselves and their mum's walking them to their classrooms *aaaaaaaawwwwwwwww!*
Give it two weeks, and they'll be cocky little .

Howdy, RimGirl! You are right in that estimation...things do change. I went from the long-haired, sword-fighting Renaissance man who lived and breathed theatre to a mild-mannered, stay-at-home Insurance Agent...all in the space of about three years. What initially attracted my wife to me was no longer the reality. Life does funny things.

SBDB, welcome back! I assume you have a tan that's the envy of the city? And forget about the Greek boys...how was the food?
Thank you for the hug.
Good luck with school...and keep us informed!

Pleasure!

I'm golden brown, but my mum is dark brown, which she goes after 10 mins in the sun. I am so jealous. I am browner than anyone else at school though.

Ohh, the food was fantabulous!!! Its the only time every year when I get proper tsatsiki, Horiatiki (greek salad - with no lettuce(blegh)
meatballs, dolmades and stuffed tomatoes! I love how they stew the meat, so you just have to look at it falls off the bone, mmmm.
And, of course, the baklava. Proper baklava should be so full of honey, that you can eat it with a foot long knife and fork and still get you hands sticky!

I don't know why, but all the fruit and veg always tastes nicer over there, and so much bigger. They have gorgeous peaches you can't pick up with one hand, and watermelons the length of my arm!

oohh, My mouth's watering now!

So, I feel a little dirty. I mentioned to the Forsaken that i'd been posting fic on another site. Still waiting for the smacks and glares.

But I have not found anywhere to post it 'til now. I feel like I did something bad. Never cheated on anyone before, but if this is what it feels like, I may never ever try.

Not cheating on us. No smacks and glares. Just as long as you remember to post those subliminal messages we talked about, directing all the readers to this site and convincing them to join.

EDIT: Should have said "No smacks and glares unless you like that sort of thing!"

You got fic? Firefly fic or something else?

I'm a little overwhelmed with Simon and Kaylee (mostly because I've been writing some, LOL!) and totally looking for something new!

So no smacks from here, NV. I'm just eagerly wanting to try it out!

There squats PaganPaul, looking disheveled and unwashed. He peers up into the light, and then drops the bone he’s been gnawing on. As it falls to the filthy floor, everyone notices that it is engraved with the words “grief” and “loneliness” and it has been thoroughly gnawed upon.

He shields his face with one hand, as if the bright light of reason is hurting his eyes. He scuttles away, but the light follows him, and now all can see that there is a chain around his ankle, just below his tattered pants, that is anchoring him to where he is trapped alone in the darkness and filth of his little corner.

He futilely swipes at the light of reason, trying in vain to make it stop shining on him, but the source of the light is much too far away to be effected by his futile attempts. He gives up and slumps down to the floor, forlorn and despondent.

He looks at all the people now looking back at him in his solitude, and gathering as much dignity as he possibly can muster, he gets to his feet, brushes himself off, and defiantly croaks out a single sound…**

Wow! That's some serious emoting. On the plus side, your sex appeal just went into overdrive - what with attracting all those women who are now wanting to comfort and support you, with the additional allure of an eloquent and sensitive man. EmmaR-

Don't be too scared of the operation.
My family calls me the queen of operations. I've had 2 c-sections ,my tonsils out ,knee surgery ,my appendix out, cervical surgery & a host of dental surgeries. And I'm still relatively ok.So nothing to fear.
But if you do need the operation -make sure you get plenty of rest after. The doctors have a funny way of telling you that you should be fine much sooner than reality allows.Best of luck to you.

Hey, all!

Been about 3 weeks or so since I've been here, and since then I have:

1) Almost left my job, but still there
2) Ups and downs with SO, but still there
3) Watched DTI DVD
4) Vacation
5) 2 work trips

Whew. So, back to posting.

Here's an imponderable - when men and women reconcile (or, start reconciling) after a long tough patch, is it easier for men or women to leave the past behind (aka forgive and forget, aka look forward, etc.)? Maybe I should say, who "keeps score" more often (which everyone hates doing but must do anyway, IMHO)?

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

*holds Emma* It should be fine. I've only had the one dental surgery, and it sucked, but I'm fine. I would strongly recomend looking into homeopathic remedies to help you heal, though. Since I'm not a doctor and can't legally tell you "Oh, you should take arnica!" I'm just gonna suggest you look into it. Assuming you need an operation at all, which I hope you don't.
Welcome home, SBDB! You got me wanting gyros and watermellon. And I'm stuck at work and I can't go get either!
More big hugses for the Paul and the Tristan *doesn't have a big enough emote* I have so been there. And still end up there on occasion. But I am trying not to go there. I am trying to be positive! *looks as fierce and determined as possible*

Hi Imponderers - you do all the best imponderin' while I'm asleep....

NVG - don't tell us you're feeling dirty - you know there are e-whore's about and we get all the wrong vibes when you say things like that!!! but I am so glad you've been posting and will definitely read it when I have a little more time!

Emma R - I second PR's suggestion - without knowing what's going on I'd also suggest Olive Leaf Extract in some form - it builds up the immune system and might also help with the healing - better than echinacea by far! Take good care sweety - I'm praying for you!

MsG - I had reheated, leftover pizza for lunch - how dare you do this to me...??? Loving you though and keeping you in my thoughts too - *thinks to self - baby vibes...baby vibes...* Just don't put too much pressure on yourself - In my world of friends having babies it usually happens when you relax and don't place too much expectation on yourself!!

Got to go to work - but not without saying that I'll be back later and that I love the dancing ducks Tristan!!! I do hope I've got all that emaoting out of my system and can focus on the 'talking' once again...

Bye for now - Magdalena x x x

EDIT: ooops - sorry Trogman - was thinking very positive thoughts in your direction too... there seems to be quite a bit of heartbreak/trauma around here at the moment...been doing much ponderin' have we? That's good though - we adapt and adopt and are there for each other...
