You might consider identifying what "level" of canon each item is. Directly canon, appearing in an episode, should have cites of specific source of data. Others might be specified, for instance how would The Map of the Verse be classed, canon, non-canon, derived from canon?
The fanfic would clearly be non-canon.
I wouldn't want anybody to think I claimed my conclusions were canon, and yet nobody should think I made it up of whole cloth.
