It probably was never going to rise to the peak MCU heights. Maybe in the future, but if America and other Western studios fire all the DEI hires and make good cartoons here again, they should have competition.

In this case, it's probably not a super popular cartoon. I'm far from an anime expert myself, but I've never heard of this one before. This sounds to me like a case of "Thunderbolts" vs. "Deadpool".

American culture has warmed up very much to Anime since I was in high school and the only way to watch them were to buy extremely expensive VHS imported dubs at the mall. But that doesn't mean that every cartoon they put out is going to be a hit.

And I would warn Japan against trying to make that a thing here. If they flood the US market with their low-tier crap, it's going to detract from their money makers. Keep the crap on streaming and out of the theaters.

The mundane dialogue is an attempt to propel the same endless story of humans trying to screw with the environmentally sound Na’vi, with countless, repetitive battle scenes thrown into the mess.
