I've seen some studies that suggest that most readings of brain activity are not sensitive enough and that the brain lights up in many regions for every task. The art for the Serenity comic in Dark Horse’s Free Comic Book Day issue was really really terrible. I don’t know what the hell Fabio Moon (the artist) was thinking.

The story itself wasn’t too bad, or at least wouldn’t have been too bad if it wasn’t the same damn story as the Star Wars comic that took up the other half of the book. Just replace Mal with Han Solo, River with Chewie, and Serenity with the Millennium Falcon.

But hey, maybe that’s why it was free.

All the art on the right is from Serenity: Better Days and is done by Will Conrad. It’s an amazing three-parter with great art and a great story. If you’re a fan of the show/movie, pick up the graphic novel.
