This is from september i am not sure if it is still accurate but...


"The Hollywood Reporter announced in today's edition that Firefly, Joss (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Whedon's ratings challenged cult television series, will fly to the silver screen. Universal purchased the rights for the property from 20th Century Fox, the studio Whedon currently has a television production deal with."

;) thanks for the info. Yes i am new to the site been a fan of the show since it first aired. I just never followed up about it on the net until the DVD came out and they hinted about the movie.
