When the show was translated, she officially (in production notes) became Amy Anderson, but the Anderson surname was never invoked onscreen (the "Mizuno" name was from the original manga, IIRC, where all the senshi had full names). In both shows, Ami/Amy is half-American (on her [absent] father's side). Thus, the fandom just decided that Anderson is dad's name, now hyphenated. Thus, some references to the original show now identify her retroactively as Ami Mizuno-Anderson.
