Expired, forgotten, spoiled rotten.

I'm going to enjoy the sunshine in Florida.

I pray for one last landing,
on the globe that gave me birth.
Let me rest my eyes on the fleecy skies
and the cool, green hills of Earth.

NY will soon have flooded subways. Time to do like Venice with the gondola thing.
Up here in western Mass we expect floods & lost power. Frontier days will be back.
My Samurai sword is ready for looters.

Times they are a changing.

Time for a Firefly marathon on the portable!!!

America loves a winner!

Dry, warm and breezy here in the ATL.

Should be perfect for DragonCon next week.

( T.V. just showed a shot of the Washington Monument. No real reason, but the thought just occurred to me that, after the quake this week, how will the storm winds affect it? Hope the cracks didn't compromise the structural integrity too much. )

THAT would suck.

Yeah. The world's largest phallic symbol tucks itself in.
The water is really cold.

It's windy and raining. I suppose it's just an exaggeration of the usual. Every hour or so a tree falls and we lose power. Every 5 min. we just lose power. Every two minutes an apple falls on the roof.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

Don't believe the hype.

I know it got pretty bad elsewhere, but here in NJ, I'm not even sure that it was the worst storm of the summer, much less year or century or whatever tagline the news used to stir things up.

Hope everyone weathered (or weathers) the storm okay.

I loved Wish's opening line, that song always makes me laugh. Glad everyone's okay so far, anyone on here in NC or VA or MD?
