USA Today had a little blurb on Firefly.

Firefly (Fox), a space drama from Buffy's Joss Whedon and the year's most expensive pilot, at $10 million.


That must be one hell of a pilot, considering that Hollywood blockbusters were produced in the past for about the same amount.
