YANKSNO1

This is a bit off topic since this is a comedy, but thought I'd post this info I just aquired from DVDFanaticReview. Sound familar?

Quote:

Titus premiered on the FOX network on Monday, March 20th, 2000. It received critical acclaim throughout its 54 episodes run. When Titus premiered, it had the highest debut rating of a sitcom since The Simpsons. Unfortunately, thanks to typical FOX network shenanigans, the third season was mixed up, scattered, shown out of order, and therefore, incoherent. As a result, audiences had a hard time following the show and audience numbers dipped. In august 2002, FOX pulled the plug on Titus. Titus claims that FOX had problems with his show always pushing the envelope, thus the deliberate foul-ups in programming and airing episodes, that led to eventual cancellation.

Sound familar to anyone? I was a fan of the show and remember how the 3rd season became pretty bad, but didn't realize it was Fox f'ing it up as usual. When will Fox learn? You would have thought they learned their lesson after Titus and wouldn't do the same to Firefly. Stupid Fox.

I absolutely loved Titus (which is rare for me to like a pure comedy show). I always wondered what happened to it. Where's the line for the DVD campaign start?

I loved this show! Yet another jewel tossed on Fox's scrap heap.

TITUS

I've loved Titus since the first time I seen it on Fox. I had to go buy it on the day it came out on DVD. It was even good in it's third season but none of it made sense because Fox did what Fox does best mess shows up.

The night before Christmas all through the house not a creature was stirring except the pscho bitch on the couch. ~Titus

This is too bizarre. Was just chekin thread CHRISSISALL pointed to for ‘Dark Angel’ ref, when, while scrolling saw post mentioning Titus and was reminiscing in my head (lottsa space there to wander round) bout what a unique & funny show that was and how I’d not thought about it in years when, as I was about to log out, saw this thread right smack at the top. (whew, runnin outa breath here).

Is there some sort of Legionares type BrainPuddingDisease in the duct work at fox that they manage to mangle and throw away the few gems they do cough up?

Guess I’m glad though, if not for them airing and then trashing the biggest one of all, I’d most likely never have experienced the phenomenon known as Firefly .

There's nothing wrong with me that some expensive medication can't prolong. (I'll settle for generic)
