Sorry, missed this post!
This is something I'd like to see, but as I am not a TV-watcher, I'll wait until it comes out on DVD. I am happy to see the Terminator world hitting the small screen, though!

Hrm. Think this will be set around the 2nd movie timeframe? What to think, what to think...I think it won't last three seasons. On FOX, it may not last 13 episodes.

There are some stories that can be told here. I'm not big on the Terminator series, but I bet there is a good fan base for this show.

What poor guy is going to ahve to fill Arnie shoes? Any suggestions?

Damn, Chrisisall you are behind on the info. This story is old. I thought most geeks have already found out about the show months ago.

The actors have already been cast and production for the show began on November 27, 2006 in Albuquerque. Lena Headey is Sarah Connor and Thomas Dekker is John Connor. Richard T. Jones plays an FBI agent who is tasked with tracking down Sarah and John.

By the way, Lena Headey will soon be seen 300 and Thomas Dekker portrayed Zach on Heroes.

Well I kinda missed all this as well, and when I heard about it I can't say that the idea gave me any joy. First two movies are classics, third one is okay-ish. But a TV show???

If Summer really is in it then it's definitely worth watching (hopefully it's a full role, not a bit part one like other shows).

Hell yeah!! She can kick ANYONE'S butt. Termy's got nothing on our little fire(fly)cracker.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I'll give it a watch when it comes out. The cast looks good, and with Summer on the show it is a must watch.

Not getting a real warm & fuzzy feeling off of the fact it will be on Fox.

Funny. When this show was announced last year, there was a thread about it. Almost everyone was complaining. Didn't amtter that a frame hadn't been shot. People were convinced from minute one that it would be total crap.

Now, Summer's name pops up, in an unknown capacity, and people are gonna watch the show.

Well, Yeah. This is the site to find fans of all our BDH's! Make all of their names big & recognized throughout the 'verse and someone might get the bright idea, "Why don't we do a movie with an ensemble cast? Just dreaming here, but what if we could get Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau, Gina Torres, Sean Maher..."

Putting Summer in it was a stroke of SF marketing genius. Like when Morena was in Stargate Atlantis.

The guy did Dark Angel too? I'd watch it just for that.

If it doesn't make a toughened underground fugitive do too many stupid things, I think it'll fly. I stopped watching Alias because the leading spy lady was always crying neurotically. Was sorta unbelievable to me. I don't know why they always make these female action characters weepy and whiny, as if neurosis equals femininity.

I think that's why I liked Dark Angel so much. Max had her girly hangups (she was young after all), but she wasn't weepy and whiny.

Select to view spoiler:

She is the new Terminator on the series.

And they're shooting just a couple hours from me...

I've been sceptical of this since I heard about it, but seeing recent sci-fi shows has turned me slightly, I think it might turn out pretty good, though I have to wonder what it'll be about. I would have thought it would focus on the war though (if it weren't for the title) they must have got them time buggers popping out everywhere. I'll likely check it out when they start showing it.

Summer being in this explains why she didn't come to Maryland for the Farpoint Convention this coming weekend. It'll be pretty sweet to see her in this show, so it was worth it.

Uh...does this mean that Summer will be a TX-series Terminator like Kristanna Loken's baddie in T3? Cuz canonically, you basically have the T-101s (the serpentine, tank-treaded 'bots from T3), ArnieBots (T-800s), the Doggone Doggetts (the T-1000s) and the Nordic Supermodels (the TXs)...

Still...Summer could be a completely new model. I know the non-canon T2 series of books by sci-fi author S.M. Stirling introduced Infilitrator-type Terminators that were more like the current versions of human-form Cylons than the T-800, T-1000 and TX series walking tank models

Can't be the TX, look at the title, its oozing of having Sarah Conner alive, her character was dead by T3.

Ah...you are correct, killerbanana, about Sarah Connor being dead by the first time we officially see a TX-series Terminator in T3. But we have no idea how long SkyNet had been operating TXs by the time the one was sent back to kill John Connor, Kate Brewster and the other leaders of the Resistance in T3.

Besides, who says SkyNet didn't try again with it's most advanced model of Terminator after Kristanna Loken's TX?

Well, technically, the TX wouldn't even be near production within Sarah Connrs lifetime, but since its time travel anyway, its not impossible for them to send a TX back to pwn Sarah.
