I finished the second season a few weeks ago. My favorite episode actually came from the second season, even though I didn't care for the majority of that season. My favorite was Some Assembly Required. I think the story was the most like the first season and emotionally drew the audience in almost as much as the 1st season finale did. My favorite character was Zack, because he had a great character arch. However I think Jensen Ackles gave the best performances with his work in both seasons.

Max doesn't 'do' guns, but what about She Ain't Heavy- seeing what Max could do with 'em was rather scary...even, dare I say, Terminator-like.

Wait! You mean to say that was your favourite ep from BOTH seasons?

I guess I could see that...

Yup I would say so. I much preferred the tone of the first season as a whole. But I didn't really get to be emotionally invested in the characters until the season 1 finale. I was frustrated with the second season due to the "monster mash" characters, and the logan & max virus. Some Assembly Required kinda set those other story-lines aside and focused on Max's relationship and devotion to Zack.

But if you wanna talk about something that screamed Terminator, how about Zack's reveal at the beginning of that episode. It was complete with machine parts and red optic over one eye. I must say, I chuckled a bit when I saw that.

I confess, on it's run on Fox, that was my favourite ep from season two, but when they aired the episode where Joshua got fleas- I bailed.
When I eventually got the DVD's, I discovered that the end of the season had some great ones, namely She Ain't Heavy and Freak Nation. FN is now my fav, but SAR ain't at all far behind.

Hey Chris, another big fan here.
Another show that should have had a longer run. And like FF later, one I told everyone about and begged them to watch.

Favourite season?

One. Two went a little off track (but still with some cracking episodes) but in season one everything was still new and Max/Logan were still awkward with each other in their relationship.

Favourite episode?

...And Jesus Bought A Casserole. Brilliant ending to the first season that made me want to keep watching right away and not have to wait months.

Favourite moment?

In 'Female Trouble' I think. Were Max gets dosed up and she bursts through the window, her eyes bleeding black stuff. Cool entrance.

Favourite character?

Herbal. "It's all good, all the time." I still use that line to this day, more than any other including FF quotes.
My second fave would be Normal. The guy just cracks me up.

Biggest laugh?

Anything with Normal.
Alec had a lot of funny lines too, in season two.

I collect TV/Movie props, including ID's and one of my most recognized is the Jam Pony ID I made, although most people can't quite name the show, they know they've seen it somewhere.

I think that's 'Rising'...then she said, "How do I look in red?", right?
She beat those guys worse than Buffy could have!
One of my favourite eps.
And Max is my favourite character- I love how her character grows up by Freak Nation.

Yes that sounds like the one. Been a while seen I saw that 'verse. Think I'll go back there soon...
Hell yeah, she kicked their asses good and proper.

Max changes a lot and the character growth is one of the attractions of the show. She is a fantastic main character, up there with Buffy, and she is a major reason the show is so great.
I always feel that a show is made great by it's supporting characters.
Where would Max be without the Jam Pony guys and gals, or Buffy without the Scoobies, or Mal without his crew?
This is one of the things I look for in a TV show, a great set of main players but with backup that's just as strong.

You own 'em, lwaves?

I'm just goin' through them again myself, hence this thread. Almost every ep from season one has greatness to it- and at least half of season two, also.

Hell yeah I own 'em, and proud of it.
Bought them the day they were released and ditched my VHS copies from TV.

My shelves of DVDs have two rows (one in front of the other), DA is ALWAYS at the front. Doesn't matter how many times I move other boxsets around, they are always on the front row.
The only others I make sure are visible are FF and BSG. I have lots of other shows but they are always the ones people are interested in.
We get quite a few visitors and people like to look through my collection of TV and film DVDs. Then we get the chance to tell them how great the shows are and try to get them to watch.

Currently going through BSG S3 DVDs but when that's done DA is next up.

Favourite season?
Is there some question?

Favourite episode?
Flushed. This episode epitomized what, in my mind, Dark Angel was supposed to be about.

Favourite moment?
When Max swings between buildings in the pilot.

Favourite character?
Max.

Biggest laugh?
I don’t know. Much of the humor in Dark Angel was pretty annoying. And I preferred the darker side of the story.

For me it was when Phil asked Logan if his powers were mostly mental- I nearly cried at that one the first time!

Yeah, okay. I remember that and it was funny, so I'll go with that, since I have no idea of my own on this.

Just saw it a couple of days ago- yeah, it had everything going right on that one.
Haven is another fave of mine in that vein.
And then there's *goes on to list most season one eps*

Chrisisall, he goes on and on
