STEGASAURUS

I will try not to spoil it myself, but I can't speak for anyone else who chooses to post.

So it turns out, that if you have a valid Amazon.com account, you can download certain pilots from them for free. The Bionic Woman was one of them, along with Journeyman and a couple others.

I just got finished watching the pilot and it was actually pretty good. The one thing that kind of saddens me is the apparent lack of diversity in the acting pool. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to see Mark Sheppard, and even Katee Sackoff. But when I saw Chief Tyrol I was a bit put back. Seemed like a Galactica reunion.

Oh, and the filming (and forgive me for not knowing what it's called - the shakey cam stuff) was a bit overboard but not unwatchable.

While it appears I am complaining about the show, those are really my only complaints. I thought the story was pretty good and the lead actress, Michelle Ryan, is simply adoreable. I may have a new crush.

If you have Cox cable you can also order it FREE from their on demand system.

It's late so i'm not gonna give my whole run down of the show but I did like it. I think NBC really found their nitch with the sci-fi genre. Besides three Battlestar Galactica people in it...hell yes!

Keep shiny!

I saw a rough cut of the pilot a couple months ago and thought it was great. I am so happy Michelle Ryan is getting some good acting jobs. I really liked her in "EastEnders", LOVED her in "Jekyll" and can't wait to see what she does with this show!

STOWEAWAY

I watched it last night not expecting to like it. And actually I did.
My husband absolutely LOVED it. I kept making comments about the show and he kept shhhhing me. Apparently I'm going to the Special Hell.
Good action. Loved seeing Mark Sheppard, though his makeup looked a bit odd. Katee Sackhoff was great, of course.
I reluctantly watched Bionic Woman and LIFE and ended up enjoying both.

I thought it was cool. Had some flaws (too gritty, not enough humour & wit, no real development of the series lead), but I can see it growing into something awesome if given time.

YES, SPOILERS!

Agreed. Bionic's "bury them" comment at the end made me think this show has good potential. Started thinkin' Dark Angel from the start.

However, I think Katee Sackhoff was good but not great here. I know she is trying to be all cyborg/robot like. But I am not sure I liked the ending "mortal combat face-off". I was very surprised because she blows my mind in BSG. It could be I am seeing to much of Starbuck and have to get passed that.

Mark was awesome what lil we saw of 'em.

The only other thing was when she first looked at her legs it looked too much like an "Acme cartoon Factory in there". lol

All in all, I will keep tuning in and see what develops.

I was kind of disappointed with the show, but I'll give it another chance next week. I thought the running and so forth looked kind of goofy, and I didn't enjoy the characters.

I got really put off when they tried to use the little girl in the car to make a profound statement that women are tougher than they get credit for "I didn't think a girl could do that. Cool!" Except that she couldn't. It was mechanical. That whole scene just seemed contrived and lame.

I'll give it one more week, but I was unimpressed.

Of the premiers I watched: Chuck, Journeyman, Reaper, Life all seemed good, but I didn't like Bionic Woman or Moonlight. I'll give them all another chance though.
