I'm not sure which Sci-Fi channel Calhoun is watching, but the new eps don't start until April here in the States. No one has missed anything.

The ONLY pic I've seen is an icon someone over at serenitymovie.org has of Jewel, and it is labeled "Dr. Keller"- her character's name.

Calhoun, can you expand on this for us? Did you see an advance or something?

Yes I did see the show.
She was only in a couple of scenes, but she belongs there, she did a great job and I hope she is in it as much as Dr. Carson was.
I download the episodes off of torrent sites.
I cannot wait until season 4 now, the season 3 finale was awesome.

I'm sorry, i had assumed(incorrectly obviously) that more of you downloaded the good sci fi shows like I do here in Australia.

I believe the download comes from Canada and this latest episode I refer to is indeed the last episode for season 3.

The morality of downloading aside, I know far too many people who have gotten serious virus/trojan attacks from it.

Obviously people who have no idea...

I have downloaded around half a terabyte in something like 4 or 5 years of using bittorrent(azureus) and I have never, ever been infected through the torrent world. Funnily enough though I have been infected before just by browsing certain sites with internet explorer...

As much as I miss Carson (they kill the awesome scottish one), I'm glad to hear Jewel Staite will be playing the new doctor, though i still hold up hopes that he will make a return in season 5 (which has only been stated as a possibility so far). Sg atlantis is great but over here in england the dvd features are rubish

it's then same for sg1 - from season 3-6 their were episode previews that were the best bit of the dvd but they stopped including them in the dvds from season 7

Bottom line: as much as I love Jewel, she's just not Carson. That single event pissed me off more than anything on TV ever has. While I am glad to hear that he will be back for a few eppys next season...still. It's not the same.

I do hope Jewel does well, but I hope that her being the new doc doesn't prevent Carson from coming back full time.

I don't have cable, but the show does air late on saturday nights in Milwaukee. Just have to keep awake to watch it or stop posting here, which is what I am usually doing. Also won't see Jewel for another season since the broadcast at least one season behind SciFi. And I don't think Stargate Atlantis will go off the air until they have had every science fiction personality show up for at least one episode. How many did the have on the original Stargate? I lost count.

Well, caught Jewel on the season finale of Atlantis Friday night. Good to see her on the television again. Was it just me or did she look like she has put on some weight?

Her character came across as unsure of herself and a bit whiny. She did seem in her element later when they were doing triage on the wounded, but still too early to tell how her character will shape up.

Too early to tell on pure medical skill; I'd give it to Simon just on the basis that we know he's a genius, wheras so far all Dr Keller's done is fail to save her patient by medical means (and suggest a very dangerous alternative solution instead).

One thing I was pleased by though is that Jewel still brings a lot of Kaylee's warmth and compassion to the role. She definitely beats out Simon on bedside manner!

I love Jewel so far, as much as I hate that carson is gone, but I'd actually be really torn between Simon and Jennifer for bedside manner. Jennifer's very sweet, but the only time we see an actual bedside manner in Simon is when he's dealing with River or Petaline...every other time he's dealing with a trauma patient (unconscious almost exclusively) or he's being talked at by one of the crew. Simon can be very reassuring and he appears caring and competent...Jennifer at least wavers on the latter point.
