I'm presently showing my son Last Crusade (which he's never seen), and I can't get over how YOUNG Ford looked then, after spending some time with Crystal Skull!!! My son said "He looks like he's 27 here!"

Just noting it is all.

Ford was born, July 13 1942. When he was born, they still built the "NASH". Go to "WIKIPEDIA" to find out what a "NASH" is.

And to think that in Star Wars (1977) he played an 'older' character compared to Luke and Leia.

How old is Sonisall?
Did he see Crystal Skull first and then the others or was Raiders first?

We watched Crystal Skull Sunday, followed by Last Crusade at his request. That was the first time he's laid eyes on Indy, and it's instant infatuation. Next I'll show him Raiders, but Temple Of Doom is still a little much for him, I think- I'll have to cover his eyes as well as his heart...

Throw him to the wolves early. He'll be stronger if he survives. I was watching horror movies at that age and it didn't do me any harm. Now where did I put that blood soaked machete?

If his brain turns to mush at least you'll get value out of the therapy sessions that you Americans seem to need so much.

Seriously if you're worried about Temple then what about the ending to Raiders? Squishy faces and everything. Kids are stronger than most parents will allow, or think them to be. IMO if he handles Raiders okay, then he'll be fine with Temple. Plus if he watches it it'll stop him bugging you to watch it.

And why is it when you're young age can be counted in fractions to make you seem older.
In your teens it's years, usually rounded up to the next birthday.
Then you're 18 or 21 and proud of it.
Then it's the early, mid or late part of the decade.
Then it's just measured in decades.

He, he - how cute. I can't wait to show my kids Indy. Long way off yet, but it's something I'm looking forward too.

Always a difficult one with kids and what you feel they're ready to watch. In my limited experience - looking after my nieces and nephews - it's always the things you least expect that actually end up frightening them. There's a scene in Spirited Away:

Select to view spoiler:

When the parents turn into pigs.

That caused them to stay up, crying, worried that their mum and dad would do the same. I had to ring up my brother so he could talk to them and tell them they were OK.

My folks had no concerns over what my brother and I watched as kids. I remember watching Zombie Flesh Eaters, with my cousin when I was twelve. There was no fallout from that, and I must've been ten when I saw Jaws. In fact I probably worry more about sharks now than when I was a kid.

My brother though is a little more sensitive. He rang me up one night after watching that episode of X-files, with the guy who could crawl down drains, fit through small holes, and he had a weird lair where he ate peoples liver or something... I dont' recall the details, but anyway - that scared the hell out of Rob and I had to calm him down until his wife showed up from work.....Nutter!

As an eight year old who was taken to see Jaws, I was scared for life with an irrational fear of large man-eating sharks.

You have every right to be scared of large, man-eating sharks, Finn. In fact, you should be. It's the not-so-ornery ones you shouldn't be scared of, though

It's bugging me
grating me
and twisting me around

yeah I'm endlessly
caving in
and turning inside out

because I want it now
I want it now
give me your heart and your soul
and I'm breaking out
I'm breaking out
last chance to lose control
