I just finished watching this movie. Awesome! What a fantastic tribute to the Star Blazers anime series of my youth.

Anyone else seen this yet?

Yep, sure did! Very impressed, considering that all the other Japanese live-action Sci-Fi films I've seen featured a guy in a rubber suit stomping a miniature recreation of Tokyo.
The sets and the lenswork were what really wowed me.

Yep, I always go with the BluRay rips whenever I can. I don't have a BluRay player, so the picture comes out DVD quality!
