I've gotten some people commenting on my Molly signiture, so I'm guessing some people here have started reading Brian K. Vaughan's series, getting ready for Joss taking it over (in about two weeks now! Yay! I can't wait!!)

Runaways is a fun and different concept, and it is right up Joss' alley with the teen-agst....
Molly is my favorite, but only

I've also picked up, and loved Vaughan's other series:
Ex Machina and Y the Last Man
and his graphic novel: Pride of Baghdad was wonderful

Anyway, anyone want to discuss Runaways?
where it's been...where they're headed?

DEWRASTLER

I actually read 1-18 of Volume 2 first and just finished Volume 1 today (the hardcover TPB came in Tuesday). I have to say it is a great series. It's also great that a new group of heroes is doing so well in the Marvel Universe. I actually started reading before I heard Joss would do a run on it, but I'm excited because I love what he's done with Astonishing X-Men.

I think it was around a year ago that Joss said in an interview that he was reading (for his own entertainment) both Runaways and Young Avengers...
it happened that I picked up Young Avengers and enjoyed it (a group of nerdy young wanna-bes in New York who have clearly memorized every Marvel comic ever written) it is by Allan Heinberg who does a lot of TV script writing, but I hadn't picked up Runaways...
Until Joss announced he would be taking it over this Spring after Brian K. Vaughan stopped writing it.
So I ran out and bought that first one and I totally loved it!
Like the Browncoats rejecting the Alliance, our brave band of Runaways are NOT wanna-bes! LOL

I've gotten completely caught up now (should I remove the spoiler in my first post?...*worries*)
and really looking forward to what Joss does with these wonderful kids
