Quote:Originally posted by AURaptor: New series starting tonight I believe on NBC. Although it's a different network, it's bears a striking similarity to the series John Doe. That was on Fox. I'm curious as to how this will play out . From the previews it looks almost identical to John Doe. Left alone and naked with no memory of her past . Only in this case she's left in the middle of New York City where as John Doe was left naked & alone on an island in the Pacific Northwest. John Doe had one symbol, I believe it was branded on his chest, and he could not see in color. This girl, Jane Doe , appears to have her entire body covered with tattoos. Both seem to have abilities and knowledge that far exceed the general population, and they have no idea how they got it. * POST ep-1 viewing * So, we find out more of our Jane Doe in the first episode than we do of John Doe in an entire season. ( Sorry to keep drawing direct comparisons. I should probably stop now ) There seems to be no connection, though it would be super cool if there were. I know, different networks and such. OK, NOW I'll stop. I can honestly say I have no objections to the repeated display of her nekkid tattooed body. It doesn't get boring seeing her take her robe, shirt, etc... off and try to examine her artwork. Only real issue I have is how the FBI has handled our Jane Doe. Apparently w/ in a day or so of being discovered, she's ready for service ? No months long stay in a secure location where doctors and therapists can try to help her adapt and cope w/ her unique situation ? It's just ' poke - prod - scan - wham bam thank you ma'am ', and off you go ? Oh, you want to hang around and help us fight crime you say ? OK ! C'mon !
