Just saw Gina Torres guest voice appearance on the Justice League Unlimited cartoon series. Aired here in Canada tonight on YTV (and I think it'll be airing again in a few hours). I believe it's due to air in the US on December 18th.

She voiced the role of Vixen.

Other Firefly and Buffy people will be doing voices in upcoming episodes: Morena will be voicing Black Canary, Nathan will be voicing Vigilante, and Amy Acker from Angel will be voicing The Huntress.

Not to geek out, but I was so excited when I saw that Vixen was going to be in the episode. After all the news we've been hearing about Firefly actors providing voices it was great to finally hear one. I don't know much about Vixen, but I think Gina's voice fit.

I know for sure Morena and Amy will be in season four, in the same episode in fact, so I'm guessing Nathan's going to pop up then. And Adam, too. Apparently he's going to voice a villain but no news on who yet.

Something tells me I'm going to wait around for the rerun in a few hours.

Yeah, I don't know too much about Vixen myself... I've only got a few comic issues that she's in (an arc of Birds of Prey)... as I understand it she's a model who can channel different animal traits, which pretty much is all you get from the episode too.

Still, it was nice seeing her. I'm really looking forward to the one Morena and Amy are in... the episode is written by Gail Simone, who writes the Birds of Prey comic, which stars Oracle (former Batgirl), Black Canary, and Huntress, and the episode features Black Canary and Huntress.

I wish the damn Cartoon Network website was better at giving upcoming episode information on JLU. It drives me crazy, because I want to hear the BDH's voices, I just can never pin down when!
