At Wondercon they announced that Joss Whedon and John Cassaday will be doing 12 issues more of Astonishing X-Men.

(Edit: Due to an early miscommunication at Wondercon, it was originally reported that Whedon & Cassaday would be doing 24 more issues, instead of 12 more, for a total of 24).

(Also, in May, Joss Whedon is collaborating with classic X-Men artist Dave Cockrum for a story in Giant-Size X-Men #3)

NESS

Woo hoo!! My sister was just asking me if Marvel was planning to extend Joss' run. Sweet. I'm in love with Joss' run right now. Have no idea what's going on, but you had to love Emma's last line at the end of issue #8. No spoilers but it was very River-like in Objects in Space. You all know what I'm taking about if you've read it.

Yay! Another Joss Whedon fix after Serenity comes out.
