Veronica Mars -- I know it's not technically science fiction but it's got good writing, good acting, and a good measure of snarkiness.
What it doesn't have is a big audience.

However, UPN is actually making an effort to support and promote the show. (listen up fox! when you have something good, support it don't throw it away)

UPN is having CBS air some of the VM episodes next week according to zap2it

Too bad UPN isn't airing the show in order over the summer to build an audience ready for the next season. But at least they're trying!

I love that CBS is willing to let little brother UPN in the door for a few weeks. My only problem with it is that F*X is starting four episode Arrested Development minithons on the same night at the same time.

In regards to your final line, they aren't showing all of the episodes, as they don't have enough time to do it. The episodes they are showing are being shown in order though, so newbies can follow.

I'm thrilled they're airing Arrested Development. I'm sad that it seems that good programming seems to always conflict with each other. (I'm sure that's hyperbole, but I feel like that anyways.)

It's a little amazing that they've supported Arrested, which I heard somewhere (Tim Goodman's articles, I think) is due to Berman. Isn't she the one credited with killing Firefly and Wonderfalls?

In any case, my brain must've taken the summer off. For some reason I was thinking that there was enough time to rerun the episodes in the summer. Somehow an extra phantom month snuck in there.

Either way, I'm glad that these two shows seem to have people fighting for them.

I just started watching Veronica Mars when they started the reruns in the summer. I want to watch the episodes on CBS, but I don't want them to skip ahead of what I have seen so far. I hope they show episodes that UPN skipped this summer.

I was unable to see VM during the season and it is really pissing me off that they are skipping eps. This makes no sense. And I can't get the dvd's until october. So I'm going to be trying to catch up on all the first season eps when they start airing the second season. I swear if I did not know any better I would think that fox and upn were the sister nets instead of cbs and upn.
