OK, here's the deal. We have reliable information that indicates that the Sci-Fi Channel is not yet out of the running as a savior, and that they may be making a decision well before the end of the season.

What's that mean? It means it's VITAL that you send letters this weekend. Got that? VITAL. We need letters, as many and as fast as possible.

So this weekend's homework is to take a few minutes after watching "Terra Firma" and write letters to three people (addresses at the bottom of this page):

Barry Diller, head of USA Networks
Mark Stern, Head of Programming, Sci-Fi Channel
Tom Vitale, VP of Programming, Sci-Fi Channel

When you write to Barry Diller, make sure to say a few words about "Terra Firma"; several of us here at SaveFarscape.com have already seen it, and we assure you it's one of the best Farscape episodes ever. We've been told now would be the time to urge Mr Diller to take another look at Farscape and ask himself if it really makes good business sense for the Sci-Fi Channel to drop such a quality show.In fact, if you want, feel free to tape the midnight showing of "Terra Firma" and send it to Mr. Diller. We want to make sure he has all the facts on hand, after all. *G*

Make sure that your letters to all are polite, and include your demographics -- age, gender, education, job, and income. If you watch with your family, be sure to mention that as well. Farscape has a very attractive viewership to advertisers, and it is important to emphasize that.

You can find "I am Farscape" letterhead at:
http://the-janissary.com/SaveFarscape/FSWatermarks.html,
along with further contact info -- email, fax and phone numbers.

PLEASE NOTE:
the correct email for Mark Stern is mark.stern @ unistudios.com.

Addresses:

Mark Stern, VP of Programming
Tom Vitale, Head of Programming
The SCI-FI Channel
1230 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020

Barry Diller, Chairman & CEO
USA Networks
152 West 57th Street
New York, NY 10019

And don't forget to have fun watching Farscape!

BROWNCOAT

Well guys, while I'm not a Farscape watcher and fan, I know how it would feel to finally win a victory like that for the Little Guy.

So go out and give them f**king amounts of ungodly hell! Fight, not just for yourselves, but for us Browncoats, and B5 fans, and the rest of the downtrodden that Bonnie sees fit to crush under her Prada heel.

LIFEOFWILY

Farscape is a great show -- what's funny is I never really watched it until Firefly was cancelled; now I can't get enough.

I'm going to support Farscape just as fervently as I do Firefly, if only because when they both vanish, all we'll have left is Enterprise.

God save us from such a fate!

JODA

As much as I would like to see Farscape go on, I have just givin up on trying to save shows. Having Firefly being cancelled, Im sick of fighting for a chance to see more.

But I am glad there are people out there that are still fighting, and I thank you.

As much as I would like to believe this, Sci Fi cancelled this show a few months ago now 'officially', and they have consistently tried outright lies or just subversion to placate it's audience.
Remember how we found out it got cancelled? Farscape crew in a chat room leaked the info. Sci Fi wasn't even going to announce it until the end of this season.
Also notice how they are maintaining that these last 11 episodes are an entirely new and complete season?
I'm not doubting your info, I'm just saying it's probably another tactic. ci Fi doesn't want to be that kid on the playground everybody beats up.

The bumpkiniest of the Bumpkin Army.
