So did anybody else notice the firefly class ship in the Battlestar mini-series?

In the scene where the Education Minister gets told she has cancer, there are ships that pass the window of the office.

It certainly did. Showed it to a couple friends of mine and there was much cheering, giggling, clapping - we're girls, we do that.

That particular sighting has been known by some for awhile now, so I'm thinkng other folks reading this are probably coming in to find out if there was another sighting of Serenity (and we have no doubt it was her, after all).

I did hear a rumor that she was spotted during the series run as well, but never found out for certain sure if that was true. Anybody know?

Like CHANNAIN said, this is quite old news:

I certainly recommend that newbies look through the news archive.

It may be old news to some, but the noobs are allowed their *squee* moments too.

What amazes me sometimes is how many browncoats we have now who weren't on this site during the dark times of pre and post-cancellation. It's nice to see all that shiny enthusiasm.

Chris, did I miss your "I'm new here" post? Very fresh wine would have been poured.

Channain, beginning in March I discovered this site while searching for detailed shots of Serenity. I found them (thanks to Haken) and a whole lot more. I just jumped in with no real 'Hi, i'm...'. Compared to most, I'll sill be a newbie next year!
I'm glad, in a way, see I missed the dire cancellation stuff, almost like I was in suspended animation to wake and discover not only a favourite show, but that a movie of it was almost done!! With Star Trek it took a whole decade (and that's a LONG time for a little kid) to get more after cancellation ( but at least it got 3 seasons)!

BTW my favourite show of the seventies was Kung Fu, a western with chinese in it...

You're very lucky. Cancellation left a lot of us bitter and cynical - myself included. Not a good way to be.

I grew up on Star Trek re-runs. My sister plopped my brother and me in front of the TV and said,"here, watch this." Didn't take long to get well and completely brainwashed.

Kung Fu was indeed pretty cool. I don't know that I have a favorite series from the 70s anymore because they all look different to me now than they did when I was a kid. I'm convinced that if Battlestar: Galactica had better writing it would have lasted way longer than a year. It holds a special spot in my heart just because of Starbuck, which is the name of my tiny home town.

In that case...

*Pulls out the glass jug, uncorks and pours very fresh wine in two cups - passes one to Chris*

Thank you very kindly, Channain.
*Sniffs the wine*
Ahh, the expensive stuff, eh? Well, I'll try not to spill it.

Channain, being an artist of sorts I just thought I'd mention "It's enough" is a wonderfly intense depiction of Mal. The picture, for me, combines his loss at Serenity with Inara's leaving (Nothin' means a damn thing). At his weakest, yet still not willing to let completly go, a place we all have been at one time or another. Thanks for makin' that and others available to us.

(I'm a newbie, everyone else already seen 'em, right?)

WOW! Thanks! That's exactly what I was going for. A lot of folks have seen them, but you know how it is - validation at any time is always a good thing. I also never know for sure who actually goes out to see Mal. I tried to post him in the Blue Sun room, but MNArtists.org won't let me. Kaylee is posted here, but WAY back in amongst the first part of the Heartbroken Series.

And you're welcome.
