Warren- did he deserve what Willow did to him?
Was it justice?
Was it revenge?

Just a question Chrisisall

Warren deserved his painful horrible death, he killed his ex-girlfriend, Trina, as well as Tara, and he was the ringleader who came close to killing others before....
seems to me that Jonathan avoided killing and Andrew was too inept or unable to do 'what it takes' (until he killed Jonathan of course).

Of course that doesn't mean that Willow had any right to take a life. A defense lawyer might make a good case for temporary insanity, because she was definitely not in her right mind(!)...

You notice how everyone was keen on Faith turning herself in to the authorities to pay for her crimes, but Willow? Not so much. Although to be fair they needed Willow in S7 and released Faith to help them too....

I wonder if the Governor of Calif wouldn't commute their sentences (or at least Faith's since Willow wasn't in jail) because of the whole bringing back the sun to LA and saving the world thing?

I'm sure Arnold would understand the 'saving the world' thing...

I feel Warren brought it on himself, always looking for the 'Empire' way out; he started down the Dark path, and it dominated his destiny.

Agreed.

Normal folk are one thing, but Star Wars geeks should have a clearer view of right and wrong. Warren knew what he was getting into.

He thought he could play with the Force.
The Dark (Willow) Side consumed him, it did.

Warren was a slimy mysogonistic weasel who had no remorse for anything he did. Willow shouldn't have mudered him--only for Willow's sake--but he's not a character that I would ever feel sorry for.

Adam Busch, the actor who portrayed him, on the other hand, is lovely. And oddly enough, he and Amber Benson (Tara) have been dating for over two years.

Warren didn't deserve to be killed like that, but he would have eventually become something that needed to be killed. Or at least jailed for the rest of its life.

You have to hand it to Mutant Enemy on this one. They took the one character that everyone loved and had her kill someone who everyone seems to have hated with a passion. If fans weren't up in arms about him murdering Tara then the way he threatened, cajoled and tried to weasel his way out of the situation right up until his last seconds, showing no remorse at all for his actions, killed any sympathy anyone might have had for him. They sure as heck didn't make it easy on us!

Was it revenge? Absolutely. Does that mean it wasn't justice? That's the tricky question. Is it okay to torture any person to death, no matter how dispicable their crimes? My instinct is no, but despite being a peace lovin' hippie I wonder how I would have reacted in the same circumstances. If someone had killed someone I loved and showed no sign of being sorry whatsover I would really, really want to make that person sorry as hell.

Anyone interested in this subject should read whimsicalbrainpan's blog, if you haven't already. Seriously, it's an amazing blog written by an amazing woman.

That goes back to a real problem I had with the movie Seven.

Select to view spoiler:

When Brad confronts the big bad and sees his girl's head in that box, he hesitated shooting.

I mean WTF????
How could ANYONE pause like that?

I wouldn't cry if someone that bad was tortured, but they need to go. Just bye. No waiting. Here's your ticket, pal.
So I think Willow did what she had to, being veiny and all, but personally, I would have just atomized him.

The problem I had with Seven is that I'm a horror movie wuss. I made it as far as lust and then had to leave the cinema. Quickly. After I'd visited the wussy little girl's room.

ah sure why not, i think he did, it was fantastic, but the best part was that it really had nothing to do with warren and karma or anything like that but it was the birth of Darth Rosenberg and the fact that {i} she {/i} thought he deserved it
