I've been here about a month(I think) but never properly intro'd myself. I'm usually quite tentative about posting into a board where the fandom is already established. I'm afraid people might think 'Oh,just another newbie' and ignore me. I've had bad experiences of it.

I got into Firefly after watching the movie and I have never seen such a unique and truly wonderful show. Now,I am a longtime Joss fan-I do love Buffy and Angel-but Firefly has just something about it-I can't describe it really.

My DVDs are with my friend now and I.Want.Them.Back!! LOL! It's just too good not to watch again!

Totally addicted and using all the phrases in my normal speak. Coupled with Buffy/Angel speak and I have a very interesting language!

I do like all the characters-Joss made it hard for me not to like them. Of course,they have their bad points,but I still love 'em!

What I love about the show is that they are ordinary people-not blessed with superpowers(until River in Serenity) who are trying to survive against the Alliance. I love character driven T.V and Joss has achieved that for me.

Woah-that was a long rant-I hope I didn't bore you!

Welcome Mary! Glad to welcome all new Browncoats! I agree that the best part about the show is how relatable and real the people seem.

Good luck with your DVD set! You may eventually have to break down and buy another set... ;)
